The Pel are canine-like creatures, generally with short fur and tails comparable to that of a cat. Their heights range from about halfway between the knee and the hip on a human to the same persons waist. All Pel have horns of some king, often ram horns though gazelle horns as well as other types are not unheard of. There is immense variation in markings as well.
Generally, the Pel eat rabbits and other small rodents, though they will also eat birds if they can catch them. Most live in family groups of four to eight, counting pups, though many do live on their own.
While not intelligent to the point of not being considered animals, the Pel are highly receptive to training. They seem to have personalities as wide-ranging as other sentients.

Yes, I do intend on starting this! Still working on the drawings- about ready to ink the next base at the moment. They are taking longer than I thought they would.
