I have heard of those games but I lay a game called Kisima Initchua, also known as Never Alone, it's about a girl called Nuna and her artic fox companion, two player, eight puzzles *I think*, and is really good! I played it on Xbox but I don't know if it's on laptop or anything.

Ive never played any of the games you listed, but I have played three (Well, technically four.) that you might like. Only thing is, all of them but one are iPhone/iPad-only games (and you have to pay for them all), so depending on whether or not you have one of those, you might not be able to play them at all. Anyway, here they are:
. Botanicula
You play as a seed-like tree creature (Yes, literally.). The objective of the game is to save the last seed of the tree in which you live, while trying to avoid all kinds of parasite creatures that have invaded it. There are a lot of really challenging puzzles & stuff you need to solve in order to complete the game.

. Machinarium
Made by the same company as the one above (Amanita Design), in this one, you play as a robot named Josef. A lot more complex and involved than the one above, it involves said character traveling and questing through a post-apocalyptic land to rescue his (robot) girlfriend from her kidnappers. Think of it as a mash-up of Disneys Wall-E and the similar(ish), animated films Robots and, I believe, 9. Unlike the others I described/will describe, this one can be played on a computer.

. Monument Valley 1 and 2
You play as a female character in both of these (Princess Ida in the first one and a woman named Ro & her daughter in the sequel). Theyre strictly puzzle-based, but all the characters (even a sentient totem pole that shows up around the mid-point or so of both games) are still very relatable and sympathetic.

Have you ever played the witness? Its a super beautiful puzzle game. Its gets kind of challenging as you go along but Id definitely suggest trying it. I dont know how much it costs bc I got it for free on pc but its absolutely stunning
