hmm.. I'd join if I was sure this was an rpg. We tend not to give plot away, but add in rules, "This is a horror story. Don't complain if there's horror in it" _{(kidnap counts as horror, I guess, but it's pretty normal in an rpg so we don't care much. Usually so narrator can get rpger to wanted place)}

Does look like an rpg though ^^ So.. far. It depends on how you're letting others reply. Whether this is happening:

You: My/ your character does blah blah and goes upstairs to find a ghoul

Me: I hit it with a saucepan which I found on the stairs and kill it immediately

^That is a roleplay.

you: My/ your character does blah blah and goes upstairs to find a ghoul

Me: She quietly approached it, side stepping and keeping eye contact, waiting for it's move.

^That is a rpg.

I see you also gave away the fact our companions will be murders. That kind of ruins the suspension and everything. It makes me go: "Okay, I'll go for my loner character then."
The point is with an rpg, you give the starting scene first and in thoughts a basic plot point such as. 'All I remember is watching through the haunted mansions door.. I remember her scream. She was dead now. Where is my companion?' then the roleplayers play their character from that, you can also add rules such as "this is horror."
It tends not to be fun if we know the whole plot .w. That's a pure roleplay thing. We make the plot up as the go along, except for a baseline thing or it ends up being really dumb like this.

Me: I decide to look for an inn in the town to stay the night and venture out in the morning

You: A force dragged you to the forest to sleep, where you were attacked by the bear

That's just wrong and annoying.

Shayni- I know which is which. I'm going to be doing it like a RPG, where you can decide what your character does, but I'll be controlling what happens when your character does it. It's a RPG. I'm literally not sure how to explain it.

Lightsagafox- Not really. I'm only allowing people to play humans - alive humans. And okays.

IvyCat- I know the difference between each, like I just told Shayni. And yes, this is a RPG, not a RP. And while I know you guys don't tend to give the plot away, I did. Although I didn't give it all away. Sorry if it bothers you, as this is my first RPG. I've done RPs before, just not RPGs and I thought I'd start it like this.

Well, your characters won't know they're murderers. And honestly, not everyone here will probably be joining, so some new ones that join may not know. And there will be no "loner characters". If your character's personality type is a loner, too bad, so sad, you have a companion.
And I'm sorry if I'm doing it wrong, this is my first RPG. Not like I've done this before. I'm still new to this, but yes, this is a RPG. But it won't be unfair. I'll make sure it's as fair as can be.

(And if I do sound harsh myself, sorry. It's just I know the difference between an RP and RPG. I'm not one of those people who doesn't know the difference. I do know the difference. Sorry if I did something wrong, but this is my first RPG so I'm bound to make some mistakes. Sorry.)
