My cats happen to be mostly Russian Blues and ASH/MC mix- those breeds are a bit more compliant with following rules. Honestly we started with one kitten from a shelter and trained her, all the rest kinda followed in her lead when we worked them together.

In terms of baths, start small, and don't rush. Take your time. Use posotive reenforcement, like a special treat or cuddle time, or his favorite toy after. and supervise at all times! Make sure to thouroughly dry him off with a soft towel, and don't let him outside until fully dry.
If you plan to keep him indoors, consider investing in a catio, so he can safely go outside if he so chooses. That way he's protected, you know he is safe, and he still gets to go outside.
Get 1 litter box per cat, plus 1 extra. Don't move them around.
make sure the cat doesn't eat the litter, if he does, vet, right away!!
Coconut oil and water are good for them, but start small. The general ratio is 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds. But start off with a quarter teaspoon total, and work your way up! Gradually! to the total amount. so, say he goes up to 15 pounds, eventually you can work up to 1 and 1/2 teaspoons.

Yeah, it is something I have been researching. Like I said, start with maybe 1/8th of a teaspoon a day, for like 3 weeks, then increase to 1/4th teaspoon for 3 weeks, and keep following the 1/8th period three weeks increase until you hit the 1 teaspoon per 10 pounds. But make sure it's either pet safe, or made for pets specifically.
Like with any new product, consult your vet first. I am not an expert, nor do I claim to be.

Hairballs, allergies, dry skin, and coat health. Internally, hairballs, digestion, immune health, bad breath and arthritis.
It helps with all that.
