Backstory/Background: May grew up in a small village that was very close-knit. Her parents died when she was a baby, so the villagers raised her instead. She was one of very few children in the village. She didn't really have any friends her age, but she received so much love from the villagers that she never really minded.

Background:
Just a normal guy living a normal life. An only child in a family without any outstanding issues. Made decent grades had decent friends, but that wasn't helping him find his way out in the real world.
He was drunk that night, or at the very least a little tipsy. The party wasn't anything special, just a group of mutual friends and acquaintances from his best friend's college campus. There was a girl there who hadn't had a single drink whom everyone seemed to be avoiding, probably something to do with the clipboard in her hands. Despite his better judgement Michael chatted with her some. He didn't remember signing anything but nonetheless he received a call a week later from the girl. She asked if he was going to be attending the meeting. Despite having no idea what she was talking about he went through with it. Maybe she was just too cute to say no to, but perhaps he should have.
Within a month he was out of the country. Apparently he had joined an aid group dedicated to disaster relief. The work was fulfilling, more than anything he had ever done before. He became more and more involved, and before he knew it he had agreed to join a team permanently assigned to the area he had been deployed to. But it didn't last.
One disaster leads to another, and Michal had found himself in the midst of wave two. A civil conflict broke out, the American troops were too late to save his team but he survived. The skirmish had been over so quickly that he wasn't even sure what exactly had happened until later. Three of his team members had been shot while aiding injured civilians. In his rush to do something to help Michael found himself the target of one of the attackers. After that it was all just pain and light. Everyone had been fried to a crisp by a powerful electric current. Everyone but Michael. The soldiers took him to safety, only to have him be sent away back to America. Someone had figured out what he had done that day, and they wanted to know more.

Other:
Michael's powers aren't typically as destructive as they were that first time. He cant shoot electricity from his hands or anything crazy like that under normal circumstances. There has to be some sort of contact, either with a conductor or by direct touch. He is effectively immune to electrocution (unless unconscious)
