I was trembling, and he probably noticed it, despite my wispy appearance. I stepped out of the cage and bobbed my head. Then I clacked my beak, trying to make him realize I couldn't communicate with him yet. We would have to find a way. Perhaps taps and clanks could make up a code, and he could just speak to me.

Alibi shuffled around his paddock, the bone from his ham laying on the dusty ground. He had licked it clean, and was now pacing, waiting for the scientists to come and take him away. His tail waved around majestically behind him, as if it was in its own bubble of water.

Chirp-
"What's wrong? Can you talk?" He asked in a playful manner. Finally he had someone that would play with him!

I turned my head away, not looking at him.

Chirp-
Thinking a bit he clicked his beak back at her. Maybe she knew how to use morse code? It wouldn't hurt to see if nothing else.

I looked at him and cocked my head, trying to decode what he was saying. I blinked in confusion. Then I stretched two letters into the floor.

He looked at the letters though...he didn't know the humans letters. "I-I don't understand..." Again he started to think. "Here, how about you tap once for yes, and twice for no? We can word from there alright?"

I tapped once.

Solstice was picking the lock on her cage,she would get out...she had to.The lock clicked and she sneaked out of her cell and went to a cell where there was a owl-thingamabob."Hi" she whispered into the cage...she saw another animal in there too,she couldn't tell what it was
