Violet lashed out at the feather once more before stopping tiki gaze curiously at the hatchling and Skydance. Losing interest quickly, she turned to Astra, who had approached Skydance and the Puffadore. "Aww! Did you just find it?" she asked, her motherly tone apparent in her voice.

I didn't know what to say as I looked in her big purple eyes. She seemed so sweet and trusting, I didn't want to lie, but she didn't seem to have parents... "I'm Skydancer, but you can call me mom."

"Skeyie mom!" She beamed

"What's your name?" I cooed to the light blue Puffadore, oblivious to the Lighira beside me.

"Auuuuu...raa..! Auhraa!" She beamed, although it seemed more like babbling

"Are you hungry Aura?" I wanted to do everything for her. She was the daughter I never had a chance to love. I wouldn't let anyone take that away from me. I mean, just her big eyed expression was enough to make me want to cry.

"Ya!" She giggled

I carried her to the food stash and set her down gently.

She pulled out a mouse, and ate it

I sit quietly in a tall tree. I do this a lot. I can't seem to forget the way I used to be cradled by Asher. He was the only comfort I ever had. I know it is weird to have a strong relationship with your human, but I was heartbroken when my family decided to abandon him. I firmly stayed at his side, and was abandoned too. A few days after, I failed him in battle. I have been forcing myself to my limits to get stronger and smarter to fight against the people who killed him. I found this pack of Sylesti here, and am settling down for a while so that I can have a steady food supply and be safe while I train. I am basically the strongarms here, and helped build little dens for everyone. I don't actually really have a strong bond with any of them, but I like to give back.
I sit down on my little platform. I made it out of slabs of thick slate, bound together with pine sap. The tree itself is a redwood, and the back part of the platform is settled in a little dent in the tree, where I sleep. The floor is covered in the softest moss I could find. I walk over and lay down, peacefully listening to the distant sounds of the hatchlings below. I slowly drift off to sleep as the sun comes down.
