Backstory: Thomas moved to the Island as a child and went to school with Yuri, He refers to her by a plethora of nicknames. Though he can be a jerk he is very sweet, and has always considered Yuri as a friend though he knows he gets on her nerves.

Her mother on the other hand was sickly and poor, she ended up dying a few weeks later. Sad, forgotten, and scared little Kiera ran away and bought a plane ticket to Alola where she met her partner, Sweets.
