The avatar item drop rate from bosses at least for me seem low. Since their respawn time is 2 hours perhaps a rise in Item drop rates OR put the respawn to 1 hour? like it has been in some previous festivals ?

I think it was better when you could trade items like when we could trade with the Bakery pets ingredients.

Perhaps have the themed zone encounter rate a little higher I know some people have gone entire festivals previously without seeing one themed. This fest so far I have found 1 nest but have not encountered any themed even after hours of map searching.

I think a lot of people enjoyed Fai's little contests like plant wars

You are really awesome and so far the fest is great. At first, as many people said, seeking was too hard, but after you fixed the chances it got better. You guys are very responsive to your player base. Considering everything you have on your plate right now, you're doing great.

I would also like to see dynamic events like zombie/minion/bandit killing and a special boss make a reappearance next fest. I miss the way everyone in the zone would get excited about those times when the event would reset and we'd all have to work together towards a specific task.

Apart from that, I'm loving the Summer fest so far. Another way of obtaining water/clay might be nice, and I still feel like the seeking drop rates are a little low in terms of the fish (at least compared to the relative ease of the garden/bakery items), but overall what I've been seeing so far is great. I'm not able to participate as much as I'd like, because I'm finishing up my MSc thesis and preparing for my defense, but it's kind of nice that this fest feels a bit more scaled back what with the upcoming release of the Megazone, which I expect to be a major time sink for me :D

Okay soooo

One: You guys are amazing for doing this. I can't appreciate you guys more right now <3

Two: I'd like to see a new festival zone designed. Summer Fest and Spring Fest were the same, which makes sense due to you guys being so busy, but it DID decrease my enthusiasm for a fest just a bit.

Three: I'd like some sort of event thing taking place, like the zombies last fall fest. That was awesome. So amazing.

Four: A maze type thing like Spring fest OR Seashell hunt would also be really nice. My memory sucks and I can't remember what the prize was for the seashell hunting, but yeah. Maybe seeking items? Like vials of water or clay; I'd kill for those materials. I have one fish, but I've been getting nada everything else xD My luck is noooot the best <3

Five: ... there's no five <3 you guys are awesome, again! May edit later if I think of new things c:

Six: Shorter spawn times? If there won't be events. Because currently I just hop on every few hours, kill the bosses, leave. There's nothing keeping me occupied in the zone right now. Competition is too rough for me right now, so that's not helping

Seven: Let us 'fertilize' each other's pets like last time.

TL;DR: 'egg' maze, seashell hunt or event like zombies for THIS fest. Shorter spawn times. New zone for Fall Fest.

Woot, feedback section. Awesome! :)

Here's what I think regarding the festival:

- Feedback should be done anonymously. It's usually done this way for a reason.

- I wish there were something new in the Festival Zone. This festival is too similar to the Spring Festival. I don't care if it's a small mini-game, puzzle, card battle, idk anything you can think of really. Even something that uses the characteristics of what you've already built in the zone, like how the egg hunt works. Things I can think of pertaining to that: Hide and Seek, Capture the Flag, things that get us moving around the zone without the "battling for battling's sake" mentality. (At least for me, with the current battling system, battling isn't that much fun -- but it could be because I've been a member for so long that I'm wishing for something new. xD)

- Change "bad" prizes from chests. Or rather, getting rid of small gold prizes. I would rather get 1 sun token than <5k gold from a chest. Getting gold in small values makes me feel like I'm wasting my time. That monetary value of gold probably makes a difference only for users who have been playing for less than a month...which really isn't the core userbase.

- There needs to be a non-battling contest. I don't care what it is: puzzle based, site based, etc. But a non-battling contest for those who don't particularly like battling. (Nurturing doesn't really count to me OTL) A lot of Sylestia is breeding, getting items, etc. So that the festival is so focused on battling is actually a bit surprising!

- Sea wars that doesn't last 2 hours. This game feels like it could easily be run in under 2 hours. Or if you are to do so, then have 2 games going on simultaneously. There are enough users on this site now (yay) that having 8 people play the festival game doesn't really cut it -- at least for me.

Will add more as I think of it here.
Edit: I agree with ColonelHazard about bringing back dynamic events. :)

Edit2: I would also love the return of the Sylestia Art Contest~ (Maybe just a one festival a year thing? :3 so us artists don't get too worn out xD)

This isn't necessary, but something that has been on my mind every now and then:
- The introduction of an "avoid sylestis" item. For those who want to just battle bosses, to have to battle all those sylestis along the way is tedious. I would pay 1-2k diamonds for a permanent version of this that I can turn on and off with the added restriction that it would only work in Festival zones, for all festivals. And up to 20k gold for a non-permanent daily version.

I'm not too crazy about the seeking drop rates still, maybe I just have terrible luck but I think I've been farming tools at a pretty good rate but I haven't found any fish items yet, where I have sooo many pearls. I had a good amount of sylestis from the garden but I'm worried I won't get a Qit or two from the beach.

All the avatar items look fantastic! I really like the addition of avi items in the seeking area.

I'm loving the contests, I'm pretty competitive myself.

I'd also like to take a moment to appreciate all the new little icons everywhere, super cute and helpful.

Edit: I really liked the little mini-game from the spring fest and miss it.

Summer Festival

Fests are something I don't take part in. The only thing I get excited for is the new themes, I know I can't have the rest. I hate that you have to buy rods and shovels with diamonds or sun tokens... My pets do missions, not battles. In Spring Fest, my first fest, the only joy I got while it was going on was my lucky pot of dirt. I couldn't afford any seeds. A friends was kind enough to grow one for me, but I wanted to raise it myself

So far, I've really enjoyed this festival. The leaderboard contests are a lot of fun, even though they tend to devour my day, and Sylesti Seeking seems like a pretty good balance between too-hard and flood-the-market-easy.

The only thing I would change is... well, I miss the wheel. ^^ The Maze is super expensive and I can't justify the expense for such an uncertain return. With the wheel, tickets were relatively easy to come by, so even though you could eat up twenty tickets without getting anything good, you could try again the next day with another 5-10. The Maze just seems more absolute, lofty, and generally out-of-reach.
(I know people were always complaining about not getting anything from their spins while the wheel was active, so I am certainly not condemning the decision to retire it. This is just how I feel about the change now that it's been long for a proper appraisal. ^^)

To be honest, I have about 0% interest in this festival and here is why:

1) Re-used zone themed pets and maps. I get that you're saving time and money by reusing them but there is nothing to "discover" and keep me coming back. Pets, for the most part, are no interest because I got the ones I wanted last year. I'm sure I'll buy a few with certain traits I'm interested in, but honestly, I'm not going to bother trying to catch any. Some kind of dynamic event would be nice, as right now I can only bring myself to head to the zone once or twice a day just to kill bosses (and then not want whatever I get in return).

2) The "Seeking" sylesti are all right, but no one design really jumps out to me so therefore that whole feature is a waste to me. I'm not going to stress out trying to find or buy all the right ingredients for a pet I don't really even want in the first place, normally there is a least something I like.

3) Festival drops and shop items aren't anything of interest to me either.. the designs are mostly female oriented (though I'm used to this on these game sites) or way to "busy" for my liking. Can't we just have normal clothes? Not everyone wants to be a dragon, a fish, a tree or a lion, etc.

4) I have mixed feelings about the contests.. though I think they are an interesting way of getting people to participate they really are not worth it for the casual player. There is only one of the themed that I'd be interested in but within the first few hours of contest release the top spots shot into the thousands.. the theme colors are nice but sadly I don't care for a majority of the genes, so if I play obsessively to try and get a top spot, I'd more than likely be disappointed in the traits.

I have to admit that I'm a bit disapointed by this fest.
I don't know if it's just me who's unlucky, but I just find nothing. I've played during three days and only found one themed pet so far. I've found a lot of blue stars pets, some purple ones (but they weren't pretty at all), but yet no more than one themed. I don't want to spend hours on Sylestia for nothing, so I gave up. Maybe it's just me, it's because of chance and if I keep trying I'll find some themed pets, but that's not funny and I feel like I've already spent too many time.
Well, I have nothing to say about the graphics (except the map that is like the previous one, but I think it has been already said a lot). That seeking feature is well-made and I like it. The clothes we can get from the bosses are better each fest, so I won't complain about that. I like very much the helds, they're really cute and that's what I want. The leo clothes are also very nice, especially the tail. It's good to see that the artists improve all the time, because Sylestia is more beautiful everyday.
But the fest shouldn't be so difficult. I feel like only people who play all the day have a chance to get some pets from the seeking feature or to catch themed pets, and the others can't do anything but buy pets from others. That's why my favourite fest was the last winter fest : it was easier for me to catch themed pets, and there was a higher chance to get the items to bake a pet. (What was the best during this fest was also the fact that we were able to sell the items in the broker, so all the items we didn't need we could sell them, and with the money we made we could buy the ones we needed. Items that are tradeable are always good, I think.)

Maybe there should be a feature like the regular maze of the spring fest ? Something that happens more or less once a day, that is free or cost a very small amount of gold, that isn't againt others players like the sylesti contests, and that allow us to get rarer items (pearls, fishing poles, shovels, themed pets...) for a short time. This would let a chance to players who come one hour a day or less to get something anyway, so they're not frustrated.
