1. Dye Job.

2. Changing one of Perfect Tommy's colors to match the colors of Nova Pulse, The Strangely Mutated Qitari.

3. http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=929998 to match http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1036018

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. Changed Color Three, R:010 G:125 B:223, to match R:233 G:189 B:107. The preceding Dye Job on Perfect Tommy was to change a lighter color to a darker one and resulted in a much darker color than entered. This is to change a darker color to a lighter one, so I hypothesize that it will drift lighter. After re-reading Post #3, I decided to enter the color-to-match in ColorHexa, selected its yellow-end analogous color (toward blue instead of away), d6e96b, and entered that as the selected color. The result was R:247 G:237 B:155. While the R:247 is within Star-Crossed color limits (i.e., not too light), G:237 and B:155 are both too light.

2. Changing one of Perfect Tommy's colors to go with the colors of Nova Pulse, The Strangely Mutated Qitari.

3. http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=929998 to go with http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1036018.

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. The Star-Crossed Griffi range for Color Three is R:221 G:184 B:093 to R:255 G:213 B:123. Changed Perfect Tommy's Color Three, R:247 G:237 B:155, by entering the code for the midpoint of this range, R:238 G:198 B:108. The result was R:199 G:165 B:076--entirely too dark.

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. Changed Color Two, R:027 G:007 B:220, to match Nova Pulse's Color Two, R:120 G:062 B:224. This is another light-to-dark, which will probably drift dark. As I don't want it too dark, I entered the desired color into ColorHexa and moved one color lighter on the Monochromatic Color bar, to 8754e4, which I used for the dye job. The result ended up much lighter, R:150 G:096 B:247. May need to re-dye this.

Edit: Trying again, with another dye of the same type. If this doesn't work, I'll need a Greater Pet Dye.

1. Dye Job.

2. Changing one of Perfect Tommy's colors to match the colors of a Star-crossed Griffi, as Nova Pulse, The Strangely Mutated Qitari, is essentially a Star-crossed Qitari. The Griffi whose color I selected to copy is named Star Crossed and is an original Star-crossed Griffi.

3. http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=929998 to matchhttp://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=576520

5. Changed Color Two, R:150 G:096 B:247, to match Star Crossed's Color Two, R:046 G:036 B:071. The result was R:052 G:052 B:082. This is still lighter than the the Color Two limits of a genuine Star-Crossed Griffi.

Edit: Trying one last time with another dye of the same type.

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. The Star-Crossed Griffi range for Color Two is R:020 G:016 B:048 to R:050 G:045 B:079. In previous attempts to dye this location, I started out at the light end of the range. The average is R:035 G:030 B:064, so I entered that code for Perfect Tommy's Color Two. The result was R:078 G:070 B:104. This is even lighter than before, and well outside of Star-Crossed Griffi Color Two limits.

Time for that Greater Pet Dye.

3. http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=929998

4. Greater Pet Dye.

5. Entered the code R:035 G:030 B:064 for Perfect Tommy's Color Two. The result was R:036 G:031 B:064--finally within parameters!

3. http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=929998 to match http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1036018.

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. Changed Gene Color Three, R:196 G:179 B:067, to match Nova Pulse's Gene Color Three, R:247 G:210 B:046. This time, I simply entered the actually desired color as the dye color. Result, R:221 G:182 B:009. This is outside the parameters for Gene Color Three in a Star-Crossed Griffi, which range from R:239 G:199 B:043 to R:255 G:231 B:071. All three values are too low, i.e., too dark.

1. Second Dye job.

2. Changing one of Perfect Tommy's colors to match the colors of Nova Pulse, The Strangely Mutated Qitari.

3. http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=929998 to match http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=1036018.

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. Tried a color code midway between Nova Pulse's Gene Color Three and the lightest allowable Gene Color Three for a Star-Crossed Griffi, (which is R:255 G:231 B:071). That turned out to be R:251 G:220 B:058. The Lesser Dye gave a result of R:243 G:210 B:042, which is below the lightest allowable color yet above the darkest allowable color (R:239 G:199 B:043). Success.

5. Changed Eye Color to match, not Nova Pulse's but the Eye Color of the highest-breeding-fee Star-Crossed Griffi on Search, Golden Star Dust, http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=576498. Original Eye Color R:025 G:090 B:053, Selected Eye Color R:000 G:080 B:249, Resultant Eye Color R:006 G:076 B:253. This is quite close to Nova Pulse's R:004 G:086 B:252. More importantly, it falls within the numeric parameters of acceptable Star-Crossed Eye Color.

5. Changed Mutation Color One to match, not Nova Pulse's, but the Mutation Color One of the highest-breeding-fee Star-Crossed Griffi on Search, Golden Star Dust, http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=576498. Original Mutation One Color R:200 G:071 B:047, Selected Mutation One Color R:027 G:039 B:100, Resultant Mutation One Color R:039 G:057 B:124. Nova Pulse's color is R:019 G:038 B:095. Perfect Tommy's new color is lighter than either Golden Star Dust's or Nova Pulse's color in this location. The R:39 is within acceptable R numbers for the Star-Crossed Griffi. However, 50 seems to be the highest allowable G color number, and 110 seems to be the highest allowable B number. Significantly darker/lower colors than all of these are acceptable, however. Must try again.

Therefore I shall drop the R number by 10, the G number by 15, and the B number by 20, giving R:017 G:024 B:80, and use another Lesser Pet Dye. This resulted in R:028 G:035 B:081, which is within Star-Crossed parameters.

Original Mutation Two Color R:093 G:120 B:215. Golden Star Dust's Mutation Two Color is R:047 G:022 B:099, but the last Dye Job on Perfect Tommy, which was also for a dark color, drifted too light (numbers too high). Therefore, the actual color I submitted for this Dye Job was R:032 G:12 B:79. Resultant Mutation Two Color R:057 G:038 B:101. This is within color parameters for a Star-Crossed, although that G:38 is right on the upper limit. (Nova Pulse's color is R:046 G:028 B:102.)

5. Changed Mutation Color Three to match, not Nova Pulse's, but the Mutation Color Three of the highest-breeding-fee Star-Crossed Griffi on Search, Golden Star Dust, http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=576498. Original Mutation Three Color R:180 G:133 B:072. Golden Star Dust's Mutation Three Color is R:021 G:039 B:101, but the Mutation One Dye Job on Perfect Tommy, which was also for a dark color, drifted too light (numbers too high). The Mutation Two color almost drifted too high. Therefore, the actual color I submitted for this Dye Job was R:011 G:19 B:76. Resultant Mutation Three Color was R:010 G:007 B:054--it drifted darker.

The R:010 is within Star-Crossed Griffi limits, but G:19 and B:79 are the lower limits for those numbers. Tried it again, using R:011 G:029 B:089 for the dye color. R:010 G:007 B:065--still too dark.

Looks like it's time for the Greater Pet Dye. Used Golden Star Dust's actual Mutation Three color, R:021 G:039 B:101. Result--R:019 G:034 B:097, definitely within upper and lower color number limits for the Star-Crossed Griffi in this location.

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. Changed Gene Color Two, R:177 G:003 B:254, so it would be within the parameters of a Star-Crossed Griffi's Gene Color Two. The brightest existing Gene Color Two codes are R:130 G:079 B:234, and the darkest, R:103 G:046 B:205. I ignored Perfect Tommy's current Gene Color Two and just entered the average of the Star-crossed Griffi range: R:116 G:062 B:220. Result--R:147 G:088 B:245, too light in all three areas, but not as far off as his original Gene Color Two was.

4. Lesser Pet Dye.

5. Again changed Gene Color Two, using the code I tried before (R:116 G:062 B:220), as it is hard to be certain in which direction the Dye will drift. Result was R:155 G:097 B:249, even further too light than before.

5. Again changed Gene Color Two, using the code I tried before (R:116 G:062 B:220), but with a Greater Dye this time. The result was R:111 G:057 B:215, within the Star-Crossed Griffi Gene Color Two range of R:103 G:046 B:205 to R:130 G: G:079 B:234.
