"Griffin, that's not how it works. There has to be another way out, when you hear it, grab him and run. You can take two or three." she growled, climbing up onto random ledge that probably doesn't exist, looking for an exit while she cupped her hands to her mouth and made a howl sound.. or attempted too.

You look around you, observing your surroundings. You are standing in a large plain, namely the Southern plains. The wind rustles the grass, making them look like green waves against the vast expanse of blue sky above you. Where do you wish to go?

Orchenia summoned more magic concentrating to create a stronger shield mana and magic combined and adding a layer of darkness around the barrier.

Iist turns around and yells at Focus. "USE HIS REAL NAME AT LEAST!"

"Problems? Maybe I -- we," she mentioned, looking over at Uje and Focus, "can help. We're gonna be here for awhile anyway, depending on if we can find the clues we need. But if it's something we can help with..." Iist smiled. "I'd be happy to help you. So long as it doesn't harm any of my friends."

"Well, you see... He'll probably try to kill you humans."

(Narrator really doesn't want you to die, so she's going to push you down the other path a bit)

You howl, and catch the attention of about ten more shadow men who joined the five that were already assaulting you. The griffin's eyes flash red and he grabs your collar and yanks you back, just as a shadow sword slices the air where you were miliseconds ago. "Master is still alive," the griffin hisses. "And he commands me to take you away, at least to somewhere safe." He drags you off the ledge that probably never should have existed and towards the entrance you'd previously come from.
As you look across the cavern, you see the swarm of shadow men disappear through another tunnel at the other end, and since the mage had somewhat lighted the place up, you could see a trail of blood also in their direction and no sign of the mage. Assume what you want, but the shadow men took the mage with them.

There was a blast of an explosion from behind you, the force throwing you off your feet and into the air. You lost your hold of concentration on the shield, and you begin falling as your barrier dissipates, leaving you defenseless as swirls of light close in, striking. You manage to dodge some of them, but one grazes across your shoulder, ripping the cloth and leaving a small cut behind.
