Callen hesistated a moment, then finally decided he'd rather risk death by throat slicing and not get teased by his family about his beard (which he was always in denial that he had a good one) and handed off the dagger. He'd have prefered scissors but it didn't occur to him to ask the inn staff for one.

She personally thought he would look better with a beard. But whatever. She got close to him and began shaving his baby stuble.

Callen dared not move just in case...As good as Sera was with a dagger, he didn't want to accidently move and send the sharp thing into his jaw.

When she was done he exhaled. "Thanks. Much better. How on earth do our parents and their thick bushy beards not get stuff stuck in these things anyways...?" He'd never quite figured that out.

"THat dpeneds on if i can figure out what on earth you do with a beard." Callen shrugs/ "Like. How do you not get stuff stuck in it? How do you keep it untangled all the time? How on earth do you style it? Is it appropriate to dye your beard if you dye your hair? When you nod do you have to live with our beard flopping in your face? how long or short should it be? What if you don't have time to maintain it? WHat if ou don't have water or oil or something?" Callen had a lot of learning to do when it came to beards even after having one for around a month.

"Well now you know why i dont generally keep a beard." Callen threw up his hands. "It's too much stress."

She rolled her eyes. " Not really. "
