The professor looked thoughtful. "They took all the starter mega stones, that is what I know, but they might have taken more." He looked back at you. "There's a map built into your pokedex, just in case." He then smiled. "Even if you're going out to help me, this is still a region! There are gyms and such. When I see you in the future, I expect to see you with some badges! If not, the champion!" He winked. "Now, go on! Make a name for yourself and rid this region of its sinister evil!" Ves opened the door for you, smiling, just as he had when you first came in.

"I see. I'll be on a lookout for those stones, then." She grinned at Professor Acacia and Ves and nodded enthusiastically. "You got it! Thank you very much seeing me, Professor. And thanks for the water, Ves."

She left the professor's house and went back to her own house to say her goodbyes to her mom.

"Looks like the work of some sinister organization. There have been reports of a team snatching pokemon from their owners that were assumed to never be seen again, but the pokemon were later found in the wild, as shadows of themselves; the shadow pokemon. The source probably lies in the heart of this organization, with the boss. The boss controls everything, so that's at least what I think."

After descending for what seemed like hours, a pair of doors slid open, opening into... somewhere. You couldn't see due to thick smoke.

"Downstairs." Ves says nonchalantly, waving a hand. "Since Sharaga is also a region, are you going to challenge the gyms and become champion?"

"He researches mega stones." Ves tells you as the platform descends into the darkness. It became really dark that you couldn't see anything anymore, although you could feel Ves constantly moving around.

Your mom was at home, bustling around doing whatever she does in the morning. Seeing you come in, she wipes her hands on her apron and smiles. "Iist, are you going on your journey now?"

"Yeah! Lemme just grab my stuff from my room." Iist ran up the stairs into her room to make sure she had all her stuff. (If there's anything of interest in my room, I'd like to grab those too o: )

She came back down with her backpack full of supplies for the journey and a bright smile on her face. She went over to her mom and gave her a tight hug. "I'll try and call you when I can. But wish me luck on my journey. I love you!"

I slowly pad in, watching where I step and smelling the smoke. I try not to make any noise as to alert the professor or Ves in any way.
