I've mostly figured things out by doing things and by asking a few questions around. I don't know whether or not I'm wrong on this, so I thought I'd ask this thread instead of waiting more levels.

On the proficiency menu, when you've reached your special (by putting 5 points into a tree) there's 3 other symbols in that line. I know I can upgrade the first in that line, but do I have to upgrade the first one to the max before I can start upgrading the 2nd one and finish upgrading the 2nd one before the 3rd one?

For examples sake, I'll use the shadow tree. For the ability force, do I have to spend 5 points on improved force in order to upgrade enhanced force with 2 more points?

I was wondering how you go on quests? I accepted one and I don't know where to go to do the quest.

Which quest did you accept? Most likely you need to go to Esior's Haven and go to the Quest Board...make sure you get all the quests. Then you need to go to Explore - Map - Viridian Meadows - Esior's Fields and then start exploring. And you just need to continue exploring until it won't let you explore the zone anymore.

Ran into another thing I'm not completely 100% sure on about breeding. Heres my 3-4 questions.

Pets can refuse each other for breeding purposes? I'm trying to breed two adult Nytekries but they keep giving me the error message. If it is permanent and not temporary, (if they will always refuse to breed with each other) is it randomized who will reject who, or is it a low percentage chance that pets over all will reject each other?

When you breed, do you test breed first and then click on the breed pair button? In that, you'll get the one you test bred more likely?

Finally when you do breed pets, I only see the egg recovering icon on my female Qitari and not my male. Am I correct when I assume that males can continue breeding while females must rest?

1. pets only refuse each other if they share one or both parents or if it's parent to child.
2. The test breeding is only for your info. to see if you like one's breeding possibilities. It won't make it more likely to get that one.
3. correct the females are the only one's that have to recover.

Pets refuse to breed only if they are closely related to each other (like, they are brother and sister).

There is no correlation between test breeding and actually breeding. The test breeding is just used to give you examples of possible outcomes.

And yes, males are able breed as often as they like while females must recover.

@Marsandin, Oki then. ^w^ Ah, Another question popped up. Sorry if I ask too much, even though I try to figure out most of these things on my own. Is there a way to see one's family tree? I see genealogy, but I have yet to see the button light up for me to click on it.

The genealogy button as you know is not working yet. The only way to find out parents is if they are bred pets. If you scroll down on their pet profile. It will tell you their info and have links to their parents.
