I'd heed their warning and start walking. I wouldn't on the other hand walk away from where the white trees met up with the normal ones.
"Who are they? I'm sure there's something very dangerous out there, but can you tell me more?
You search comes up short, no trees appear to be white or even glowing white... The large tree doesn't do anything in response to your greeting, after all it's just a tree, isn't it?
The large tree is surrounded by large coils of blackberries, small thorns extend from all of the vines making it impossible for you to travel forward without some difficulty.
What should you do?
I check to see how far the thorn patch extends on each side and if their are any paths or places where the brambles have been trampled. If possible I walk around the patch and go back to the trail once on the other side.
Everyone else eyes snap to you as they stare at you, suspicion lighting up their eyes. Everyone's quiet for a few seconds before one of the people on one side of the table pipes up.
"...Fabulous... Are you a good shot? Or was it just luck?"
Kestral rolls her eyes and mutters.
"Don't scare her away with a boring speech about bows..."
