I set the baby Nixi down and let Serenity take over. My bones crack and reassemble quickly and a pair of wings sprout from my back. A scaly tail swings around my now thick dragon legs. Her blood red eyes took over mine, but I still had consciousness. We lifted the pup into our arms and took off. We searched from the sky for the others, the pup whimpering in our claws.

Serenity circles in the air and suddenly dives. We land and she shifts back to my form. Why, aren't you taking over and going savage? I ask her in my head. She gives no response and I go to help lift up Himmat after setting down the pup.

The pup stays by your side and Himmat and the Vene are asleep, and Cosmic and Glacier take turn guarding Himmat and the perimeter
