She looked up at Lilura. " Yes. " And then looked away from her. She knew what the new girl was trying to do, but all her efforts would end in failure. Being treated like an animal did that to you.

He was shocked. "Did you really just ask that question? Just look around. That'll give you your answer." He gestured around the room. "No way to escape, nothing to do, no will to live," he almost whispered, a hint of pain in his voice

Lilura pauses before scooting towards Casey, holding the book out to him as a peace offering. "There is... something to do." She says, a hopeful smile on her face.
She tried hard to look on the bright side of things, no matter how dark the situation seemed. Now, it seemed that everything wanted her to just give up, give in. However, that didn't break her spirit.
It made her want to prove them all wrong.
... somehow. maybe... in a few years or something. Lilura says to herself, realizing how idiotic she was.

" Are you stupid? " Akira asked, staring dead at her.

He was even more shocked now. "What are you doing? You can't give that to me. You better keep it," he said, gently pushing it back towards her. "I'm used to being bored out of my mind. As for you...it might break you. So just keep it."

"We can share it?" Lilura says it more of a question than a statement. "And... I know a few games that we can do without... well, props."
Then she turns towards Akira, an emotion running through her head she didn't know what to explain it as, "Sure, I am stupid. I accept it. I have not been here as long as you, so of course I'm not going to be as knowledgeable or oh so high as..." She bites her tongue, hoping she wasn't being offensive. "I'm sorry." She says, lowering her gaze and scooting backwards, hoping she would not bump into more trouble.

She scoffed and rolled her eyes. " Don't apologise. An apology is like going back on your previous statement. "

Casey just watches her, so confused. To be honest, he wasn't entirely sure she was an Intuitive. No Intuitive he had ever encountered had been like this. His head was tilted just slightly to the right, trying to figure her out. "What are you going to do when they take that away from you?" he asked, nodding at the book. "What are you going to do to not give up hope?"

"I won't let them take the book. Unless they return it to the library where it belongs. Kasi dragged me out before I could checkout the library book. She called me a power monster... the name could fit her too." Lilura says, before trying to explain, "You, know, because she's acting like a monster as she tries to gain political or whatever power."

"Never give up hope. Well, really you are in charge of your own feelings, and since hope is a feeling, they can never, ever take it away. Unless I willfully surrender it. But what would the point of that be?" Lilura answers. These Intuitives were... different. Or maybe she was the different one. The weird one. The odd one. The one that would never fit in.
