The platform was gone. (DUN DUUUUUN) The smoke started to clear, and you could see that the underground was a place teeming with technology, clean sparkling white walls and science-y things everywhere. The professor was getting to his feet. "This is bad," he announced, if a bit unnecessarily. "We need to get those back."

Iist looked at the professor with a face of urgency. "How do we get out then? And do you guys have a fast Pokemon that you can ride to catch up with the thief?" She hoped the answer to the second one was yes.

Ves ran over to the place where the platform used to be and pressed a button, calling the platform down. "Get on!" The professor looks at you, also running towards the platform and getting on. "Could you go after them for me? Me and Ves need to stay here to guard the lab in case more people come." He hands you something. "You can always contact us with this!"

*Item gained: Pokedex*

Ves ran over to the place where the platform used to be and pressed a button, calling the platform down. "Get on!" The professor looks at you, also running towards the platform and getting on. "Could you go after them for me? Me and Ves need to stay here to guard the lab in case more people come." He hands you something. "You can always contact us with this!"

Iist clutched the Pokedex. "Okay, got it." She hopped onto the platform and pocketed the Pokedex, ready to go after the thief on the Professor's behalf. "Where do you think they'd run off to?" she asked before the platform disappeared.

((btw, do I already have my starter pokemon on me?))

(Yeah!)

"This is the first time this has happened..." the professor trails off as you hear the sound of helicopter blades above the house. "Shoot! They must've gotten away!" He runs over to the window and throws it open, looking up. A sleek black helicopter just so disappears over the clouds.

Iist heard the helicopter sounds fade into the sky. She huffed and frowned, looking back at the Professor and Ves. 'Guess we can't go after them anymore.'

There wasn't much that a beginner trainer like her could do, at least for now. "Well...I guess I have this now," she said, taking out the Pokedex. "The sooner I get stronger and catch more Pokemon, the sooner I can find that thief and get your Mega Stones back." She looked up at the Professor. "So I suppose I'm a trainer, starting today, with this." All she'd need now is a map and the rest of her supplies before she could head out.

"Professor, what Mega Stones did they take, anyway?" she asked. She knew a little about Mega Evolution, a step past regular evolved forms, and how they needed a special accessory to activate it. "If I see them on my journey, I could possibly tell you and go after them then."

"Well, well." He huffs, sitting down across the table from you as the man who brought you in places as cup of coffee in front of him. "I know there must be a lot you want to know, so go ahead and ask me questions!"

"Well does anyone have any idea what could be causing this or where the source is at?"

You press the button and a trapdoor opens underneath you, making you fall some way before you land on a platform. It starts to go down as the trapdoor shuts above you.

I try and stay silent but a couple of mmphs escape as I hit the platform.

"You don't want a drink? Very well, then." Ves leans against the counter. "The professor is in the lab. He wants you to help him investigate the shadow pokemon problem, on top of you becoming the champion of the region. More details you'll have to ask him."
(Free action mode: Do/say anything within reason)

"Hmm, so you want me to help with that problem.*pretends to know what he's talking about* alright. so, where is the lab"

The man coughs as you both successfully push the bed out of the way to see a faint outline of a trapdoor through the smoke. The man presses a button and the trapdoor slides open, showing a platform. "Quick, get in. The professor might be in trouble." He says as he steps onto it.

"Is that so?" Constant coughed out. Constant followed the man down the trapdoor, feeling something welling up in his eyes from the smoke. "Geez, what could the professor possibly be doing?"

The professor looked thoughtful. "They took all the starter mega stones, that is what I know, but they might have taken more." He looked back at you. "There's a map built into your pokedex, just in case." He then smiled. "Even if you're going out to help me, this is still a region! There are gyms and such. When I see you in the future, I expect to see you with some badges! If not, the champion!" He winked. "Now, go on! Make a name for yourself and rid this region of its sinister evil!" Ves opened the door for you, smiling, just as he had when you first came in.
