I cautiously, non-threateningly, step out and approach someone

Really, It's a bit all over the place? I've finally found time every day so that I'll be able to update it at least once a day again... Hopefully...

Marble dive off your shoulder as you sit down and curls up in a ball on your lap, she appears to be eyeing something in the roof. Everyone else in the room is now sitting across several rather expensive looking couches. Amie is sitting crosslegged spouting some nonsense about books and dragons to the lady, who you can only assume is her mother.
"So, Jumping, what sort of reward do you desire? Please don't be humble, it sounds like my dear Amie would be lost if it wasn't for you!"
The woman speaks happily while glaring rather intensely at Beck.
You stand up slowly before making your way over to the door. You find that there's a small glass peephole in the middle of the door.
Looking outside you find at least three people in similar clothes to Sparrow and Kestral standing impatiently outside. None of them seem particularly hostile even though they are all carrying rather hefty weapons. It takes you a second, but you realise that they aren't standing in a hallway, rather an open field filled with large blue and purple flowers.
You stop dead in your tracks and listen. Amongst the sounds of the forest and the occasional howl of a large animal you can hear faint muttering and harsh whispering. It's unclear whether it is coming from the trees or not...
