The tunnel opens up below you. you see notches in the side. you manage to grip onto them and make your way. half-way down your fingers start to slip.

"Yeah. I just fell! I will just have to catch you when you come down. Be careful!"

"okay I'll try not to fall. Nothing broken right?" he asks and you can see him starting to descend.

"Nope. Probably just a bruise" I say, ready to catch him
