You can wrap your legs around it. but not enough to pull yourself up only to shimmy around the tree at the level you are at.

You manage to reach the top of the tree where Castor is waiting. he smiles and nods when he sees you. "Now just tap the blue jay symbol." He says before tapping it himself.

he turns around and looks surprised to see you, but happy all the same. "Ebony! What are you doing down here?" he asks jogging towards you.

immediately the tree begins to shake and vibrate. it sinks down and you along with it. finally when it stops sinking the entire tree is gone and whats left is a gaping tunnel. you can see stone steps leading down.
