Eclipse tried to keep a straight face. "Maybe. Maybe not." the pups face still invaded his vision. He had only seen one other wolf with those eyes, and he had failed her too. That's mostly why he went lone wolf. No more lives depending on him. The memory crashed on Eclipse, and he sat down. "No." he whispered huskily.

He was a pup again. Playing in the fields of his pack. It was spring, and the pup he was playing with was a newborn. He was a full year older, but he was still a pup. He heard his mom calling. She was calling for them to come closer, to not wander to far off. With the stupidity of youth, they traveled out farther, Eclipse himself egging the pup on. Almost too quickly for the pups to register, a bear came and attacked the younger pup. Eclipse tried to attack it, make it drop her. It didn't happen. The bear got away, and left a devistating mark on Eclipses mind and pelt.

"Solar flare. I'm so sorry." he whispered, tears streaming down his face.

Kae'rien
"What is it?" Kae'rien asked, all hostility instantly gone.

Eclipse looked up sorrowfully. "nothing much." he whispered. "Just a memory. A stupid memory." he said and ruffly brushed the tears away. "Let's go back. I think I can help out in some way."

(He is up yes, not that it really matters now.)

The smaller wolf watched in silence as more wolves approached. Without a word he led his mate away from the clearing. This was too much excitement, too many new faces to try and keep straight. Right now he just wanted to focus on helping Dorian. "How do you feel?" Dexion asked as he helped the other wolf to lay down again.
"Like I was attacked by a bear, though I'll live. Hopefully it doesn't scar..." The brown would said looking down at the wound on his side. It would lead to a heck of a story if it did though. Not that he would need a story now. He had no one else to impress at the moment, not even those other wolves. "Are we going to follow them?"
"I don't know...a few of them seemed nice enough though the others I'm not too sure about. I would give you a nice place to rest though, one that is safe from any other kind of attack..."

Kae'rien
"Look, you were crying. 'Stupid memories' don't make wolves cry," Kae'rien said, an edge sliding into his voice. Turning around, he smelled the two wolves from earlier, and said, "Okay, come out. I know you're there, Little-White-Wolf and Big-Brown-Wolf."

Eclipse glared at him. "Then it's none of your business. You don't have to know that I am responsible for someones death, and you don't have to know that my sister was carried off by a bear, and suddenly seeing this reminds me of it. No! You don't have to know any of it." he growled, eyes trying to tear up again. He forced the tears to go, and stood back up. He thought over what he said, and realized his mistake.

"Well. At least I told you." he chuckled to himself. "So, can I help your pack in anyway?"

Kae'rien
"Go to my den. I'm sure Naelan will have something for you to do. Or Jaesian might snag you to play again," Kae'rien said, Advancing stealthily toward the two wolves.
