The rain had completely stopped now, the air as dry as it had been yesterday morning, the only sign that it had rained at all was the damp pavement and foggy windows.

I hurried past some girl with earbuds and an armful of groceries, and into a rundown apartment building.

The whole building was solid cement, but occasionally you'd see a patch of solid yellow peeling paint. I was in the rundown part of town, where money was tight and children played basketball with a ball that was more duct-tape then original material.

The building was free to enter, no doors at all, just a rusty old french style gate, a flakey fleur-de-lis at the top. I went around to the back of the building, where the staircase up actually was, I had to walked a narrow path along the side or risk getting snagged on the crudely cut and mishappenly placed chain-link around the building. The concrete walls of the building itself were water stained and green from microscopic algae.

Having successfully reached the staircase without hooking myself by the shirt sleeve to the chain link for all eternity- I took the stairs two-by-two, minding the thin re-bar stair rails. I stopped when I reached the first floor, sitting down on the space next to the stairwell. I'd chill here for awhile, nobody would mind, if they did come oit of their rooms. And at the end of this floor was an open balcony that was so close to the other bulding you could just jump onto the other roof if you needed.

Tugging at the guy's uncertianty again, he raised his fists in case things got ugly. "Back off and nobody gets hurt, okay?" He muttered, retreating a few paces. He didn't really want to pick a fight at all, but he much prefered not to get dragged off.

"Is you're sorry, then stop!" Axel suggested before bounding out of the way, trying not to slip on the slick pavement (Not that he thought getting hit with a wet book would hinder him much).

Havardur frowns slightly, knowing full well Leah - the Hunter chasing him for grabbing her prey - could catch up to him if she wanted. So... why was she holding back? He shrugs, and wipes the rain from his forehead, putting his hood back up as he continued to trek towards the library, picking up the pace a tiny bit.

Casey had started to pace in his cell, subconsciously looking for a way out. Every little crack he saw in the wall, he would investigate. Every imperfection in the room he had already investigated too many times to count.
