You skim through the text and find only a paragragh, incomplete, about a man named Ruytli messing something up. It's mostly scratched out, though.

When you finally bring the pups back in after a few hours, they all bundle themselves up in a literal dog pile near the fireplace. The chest is still there, and Ayllsa seems to be asleep.
