Iist kept fanning the smoke away with both her arms and hands, walking forward with Ves into the room. "Professor Acacia!" she called.

There is a smooth 'whiiip' sound as the bed in the corner slides out of place and a man rises out of a hole on a platform. He's wearing a lab coat and looking very tired, but smiling nonetheless. "Ah! Matty! Pardon me for my tardiness. There were some issues. I'm professor Acacia." He reaches out a hand to offer a handshake.

You press the button and a trapdoor opens underneath you, making you fall some way before you land on a platform. It starts to go down as the trapdoor shuts above you.

"Something's wrong. There shouldn't be so much smoke." The man coughs as you both successfully push the bed out of the way to see a faint outline of a trapdoor through the smoke. The man presses a button and the trapdoor slides open, showing a platform. "Quick, get in. The professor might be in trouble." He says as he steps onto it.

You hear a weak cough from about 20 meters away from you as someone roughly pushes you aside, running in the direction you'd just come from.
