When I heard Rhys suddenly exclaim about what he had found in the box, I turned to face him, to see a small gold and red dragon in his hands. I walked over, curious to see.

"Wow..." Its whole body seemed to be alight, its markings practically glowing against the darker scales underneath. Gervasius was also looking down at the hatchling, positioning himself more comfortably by shuffling closer to my neck.

That's quite impressive. There was a hint of jealousy in Gervasius' voice, even though he was trying to give a compliment. I glanced at him reassuringly with a slight smile, to show him that I was not disappointed with getting him rather than the dragon, then returned my gaze to the dragon.

"So, what are you going to call them?"

"Not sure yet, I'm still thinking, I'll text Sylver about it" Rhys said, taking his phone out and texting Sylver. She didn't respond after a few minutes so she decided to search the internet for a bit. "Maybe... Akitsu, it's a combination of two names meaning 'light' and 'dragon'" Rhys said. "So where'd you get the name Gervasius from?" Rhys asked.

"Can we come in?" Erin asked.
