You take several steps forward towards the counter and gaze down at the leather bracelet. The intricate scorch marks embedded into the leather resembling two wolves glowed faintly to reflect the colours of the stones placed in their eyes.
She leans forward slightly and clips the leather bracelet around your wrist before tightening it slightly.
"Hmm, do you like it? Or would you prefer a different one?"
You pull the book titled 'The Forgotten Paths, a Guide to Navigating Them' handwritten in black ink off of the shelf. It was adorned with a thick leather cover and spirals of black thread. A short peek inside reveals that it appears to be a collection of research notes of some kind.
Looking closer you find that most of the pages feature sketches of people and items in a surprising amount of detail. A few subtitles read 'The Palace of Crystalised Hope', 'Thoughts on Athya' and 'Crossing the paths directly'.
What should you do?

I go up to the woman at the counter. "How much would this lovely book be?"
You look around for footprints, other than your own and a few that look to have been made by a bird of some type you find nothing. This town appears to be completely and utterly deserted, but that doesn't add up with the four people outside ominously stalking about.
Aurorus and Meteorite chirp in unison and follow you over the blackberries in the northern direction. The blackberries seem to span on forever, but eventually a flash of yellow catches you eye.
You continue along into the town, people flood the streets with the constant noise of chatter. Nobody that you could see screamed Bella. Maybe you could ask around?
You skip along the trail dancing about and humming a quiet tune that you vaguely remember knowing. Getting towards the end of the flower-covered clearing you can see the darkened shapes of large buildings.
What should you do?
