They become scalding hot, glowing blue, then suddenly it shuts off and you hear a rumbling noise.

Is it just you, or are the shadows under the bushes and trees getting darker? It's almost as if they are deepening in shade.

Something about the forest makes Maeve uneasy. The shadows do look darker. She tries to smile and keep her arrogant, brash mask on. "This forest doesn't scare me at all." she says loudly.

Maeve turns slowly. If it's a Sylesti, she doesn't want to hurt it or scare it. Especially if it's a Ryo or Lup. But Ryos rarely appeared in the wild. Maybe it was angry at her for yelling at Stephanie.

Latif knew that the Nytekrie, with that limp, would not be able to catch the mouse before it fled. Her, on the other hand... Latif ever so slowly leaned over, moving a hand into position... and then slapped it down, clapping the mouse to the floor while her other hand snatched its tail, gripping that firmly to then let it dangle in the air. She looked over at the Nytekrie before finally speaking to it. "Shall I come to you?"

Shadowy coils raise from the ground, forming approximately into the shape of a... person? Whatever it is, it snarls again, but you can't see a mouth.
