Our magic is limited ya know. We can only do so much with it and defending and fighting isn't always one of those things. He repeated what he had always been taught. He shrugged and laughed a bit. Yes, practice would be nice. he whispered.

(Nothing much happened, Cana left though, so I'm taking her spot with another character.)

I blinked "Oh I see, I've only heard rumors you see, I'd never seen it in action myself." I pick up my blades from the basket. All about the same length, one about 2 inches shorter then the rest. I tilted the basket a little, grabbing the sheaths once I could see them. They were plain worn leather, the sides decorated with small gold studs. The shorter one and one of the normal length blades went on my back, the last on my hip. I usually used the one on my hip, if I was totally absorbed I'd duel-blade with the same length one on my back.
Duel-blading wasn't a usually recommend strategy (or so my instructor has told me early on) but I was in the top 10% for a reason. I pulled each of them half way out, looking for any signs of tampering. The short one I only used by itself when fighting one-on-one, it was dangerous getting so close to the opponent, but even more deadly for them if I did happen to get that close.

Zev smiled. He looked around the room. He wondered what the others were up to now. He hoped they hadn't made too big a scene.

I stood up, brushing dust from my trousers and cradling the basket and my blades in one arm. I slid the basket back into its spot and turned to Zev.

(Alright, everyone meet the new human. xd)
Branwen sighed as she watched the ishnu leave with her owner. *That one's trouble, but we need more leaders like her. She'll learn how to deal with society in time.*, She thought, leaning against the wall, waiting for Driscol. The tall woman sighed, tapping her foot. She needed to get some work done but didn't want to leave the poor little Ishnu behind.

Alexander sighed and stepped aside so he could eat his desert. It wasn't bad, just too sweet for his tastes.

Driscol trotted rapidly back to his new mistress. He hadn't gotten her name yet, but he was much too shy to ask outright. It was against the rules anyways. He had brought her some water.
