"Okay." I gasped out. "Stay here." I got out, grabbed my medical bag out of the car, and made sure the cow wasn't hurt. I got back in throwing my bag into the backseat. "Okay so the cow isn't hurt, but we have to wait out this lovely little traffic jam because the cows won't move. I gotta call my boss." I called my boss hoping I wasn't going to get fired. As I was waiting for her to pick up I looked around, fiddled with my scrubs, picked at the steering wheel with my free hand, and pet Koda trying to stop feeling anxious. "I'm so sorry I put you through this." I told him.

She nodded as she selected one of the bags containing a silky white thing and picked up and odd pair of shoes that looked like they had blades on the bottom " Well I have practice in a bit if you want to come find out what "Music" is.... I need to eat before I go though" she added as if she were making a mental to do list.

"it's made from a plant, and there's elements in the plant that at a basic level send messages to the brain to stay awake." I write then add "I'll be fine here you know go take a nap and when I come back we can go out, show you around."

He made a chuckling whine
don't worry, I'll take care of the cows
he insisted as he clicked open the truck door and hoped out as if he had done it before. After a moment he let out an oddly loud bark, followed by a few short howls, and after a startling moment the cattle started to herd themselves away from Koda, and off the road

He sighed seeming to give in to your request " okay, okay, I'll see you when you get back then" he said before heading out

I wave goodbye and continue working (time skip to after work? unless you have a fun idea)

"Koda what are you doing?" I asked. Then a realization dawned on me. "Koda what if you're hurt!" I exclaimed. Then my boss picked up. "Who are you talking to?" She asked. "My uh... dog. I almost hit a cow. And he apparently wants to play with it." I told her. I said the last part loud enough for Koda to hear. "Stay home or you're fired. We both know you won't rest unless someone makes you." I groaned and then looked at Koda. "Hey Koda you want to get icecream?" I asked him. "Not in your pupper form though human one." I quickly added.

Nah I'm fresh out of good ideas today XD

He nodded and leaped back in the car before shifting into his human form and ruffling his hair " Wow! that was almost as much fun as chasing the cows back home !" he exclaimed with a bright smile

lol then yes time skip to me entering the apartment (it'd be around 1pmish)
