''Mmm...'' He let out a sigh before stepping to the sorting hat. Being in front of all these people felt...scary.

The professor put that hat on his head

The hat felt uncomfortable on his head as it moved slightly. His hands twitched even more at his sides as he resisted the erge to take the hat.

''Hmm...nervous, aren't ya'? Don't ya' worry, it'll be over.'' The sorting hat shouted, causing Carmen's hands to starting flapping at his sides.

''Mmm..'' It let out a hum, ''RAVENCLAW!''

The shout was loud and echoing, causing the small kid to jump slightly. His hands clamped over his ears as he tried to get up and make his way over to the Ravenclaw table.

He succeeded, breathing deeply.

The ravencalwas applaud. Phoenix taps his foot-he's impatinet to get to the food.

Professor Mcgonagai lcalles out, "Cornelius, Elliot!"

Vae watched as her fellow first years got sorted, and couldn't wait till her turn.

(And now...we wait.)

Elliott started when he heard his name get called. He shifted nervously before bounding up to the professor excitedly. He waited for the hat to be put in place, bouncing on the balls of his feet.

*puts on hat*

Elliott looked towards the Ravenclaw table and offered Carmen an encouraging smile before he felt the hat upon his head. He took a deep breath, and then held it.

The sorting hat hummed in thought. "A sneaky one you can be, and fun loving, too. But not quite wry enough for the snakes...."

"HUFFLEPUFF!!!" The sorting hat shouted. Loud cheers came from the Hufflepuff table.

Carmen let out a sigh, frowning. His only friend(?) was in Hufflepuff, not Ravenclaw. He placed his head on the table, his mood ruined for the time being.

Professor McGongail reads off a few more names. (No need to list them).
