The boy jumped some as the girl threw her arms about him, frightening him. After a moment though a scowl covered his face as he pushed her away. "What do you want?" He snapped clearly not happy to see her.

Asterin strolled into the dining call. There was a single long table, already set with playes and silverware. There was no food yet, but a door was open at the far end of the room and scents wafted out of it. Bland mortal food, and- Asterin's nostrils flared as she caught another, richer, smell mixed in with it -Was that blood?
She licked her lips, which were dry from flying on Ghislaine, and approached the table. No seats were labeled, and she was the first one here. Not caring who was supposed to sit there, Asterin plonked herself down in the carved wood chair at the head of the table and put her boots up. Drawing a short knife, the blade only perhaps as long as her middle finger, Asterin began to clean dirt and dried blood out from unter her iron talons as she waited for others to arrive.

Khan heard the sound of someone sitting and walked out holding the cup want this or are you just here for sightseeing ? Khan smiled handing her the cup.

His swim was shortened when the smell of food filled his nostrils. Cooing a bit the large reptile swam to the side of the pool and pulled himself up before shaking the water from his body and slowly stamping towards the the dinning hall. He had to crawl through the door to fit though he didn't mind, not with the promise of food on the other side. The only thing stopping him from destroying the table was the fact that a few of the chefs were waving brooms at him and keeping him at bay from the meal. Annoyed, the animal batted them aside with a claw and made his way to the table. Luckily though the chefs had set aside an entire pile for him at this point. Setting down he began to eat, guarding his food with his clawed hands.

His eyes narrowed. "I don't need friends." He snapped before looking away from her again. Everything hurt, his head hurt, his skin hurt, his insides hurt! It all hurt! This life was horrible!

Asterin took the cup without a thank-you, and sniffed it. She dipped a talon in, swirling it around, before finally taking a sip. She was silent for a moment, then:
"You spiced it nicly," she told him. Too bad if he wanted gratitude, that was all he was getting. Still no one had arrived, so she asked, tracing designs in the cup with her finger,
"Is dinner always this pathetically empty?" she smirked. "Is there a dinner bell you ring or something?"
Asterin flicked the hood of her bloodred cloak over her head, leaving all of her face except her mouth in shadows, her burnt-gold eyes seeming to glow, blood staning her teeth and lips.

no spices I poured it directly into the cup from my wrist and it's the first day of school the only students in higher grades who attend are those with special needs like blood , the rest cook in the dorm kitchens. besides we do have Tony the large creature at the other end of the table Khan sat next to her in a chair not bothering to grab himself any food , his food source was not something most students needed to know about.
