I am loving the griffi; it looks great :)

However, I have to admit to being somewhat frustrated with the Snow Wars set up. I believe I am on the third tier and am really struggling. I am facing AI opponents typically with heavy boosts; using my last game as an example, 1x blue boost, 6x purple boosts and 1x orange boost. If I even try to boost my team like that I would have enough boosts to last a little over 10 rounds, although I have enough tokens to play 1000. Even if I use boosts, tactical games like these are not my strong point so I would struggle to win. If I can't win a round then I can't win a griffi.

It seems to me that I was far more likely to stand a chance of winning a griffi on the first two tiers than I am now, when I can barely win a game. This seems a little unfair. I have been really enjoying Snow Wars, just for fun and as a great way of getting supplies, even though I was not very good at it, but now that I can hardly win at all and desperately want a chance at a griffi, I am not finding it a fun experience at all. I suppose in theory I could try losing and moving down again but that is a slow and tedious procedure.

Any advice on how this could become enjoyable again for me and others in a similar situation?

Hmmm, I can see where you are coming from, Falk. For those not as good at tactical games(I don't play them much myself and find I am okay at them), staying at the lower tiers would make things easier. What if there was some kind of reset button, where you could go all the way down to tier 1 again. It would make things easier for those that are not as good at tactical games and give them a fair shot at winning a Griffi. It also makes things better for people who have exhausted their booster cards.

I have to agree with Falkinsey.... want to win a griffi egg, and I do keep on trying! But I have lost 5 matches in a row. No, I am not good at strategy games.... I just can't see the whole board, only a move at a time.... just like chess, I couldn't play that game to save me! Can we only get an egg by winning or is it possible to show up in the consolation prize? If not.... I think Kalores' suggestion for a reset might be helpful to me.

Right now my frustration level is pretty high, so I think maybe I better go away from the game for awhile! I am tired of being smacked around by gold and purple starred enemies!

I just won a game of Snow Wars against the computer.... for the rewards it told me I won Medium Snowballs x (blank). When I checked my supplies, I had no Medium Snowballs.

There seemed to be 3 people having issues where supplies consumed weren't removed and thus stuck at 0. However, your 'new' supplies were added - just not being displayed.

I removed the consumed ones and yours should now be displaying properly.

I can get the frustrations of losing, especially when the Griffi is only available from winning a match.

Once you reach AI Tier 3 and higher, I created those tiers with the assumption that you (the players) would begin to also use Boosts. Whether these are Boosts stocked up, purchased with Tokens, or purchased with Diamonds.

To counter the harder difficulty and the eventuality that players will begin to lose, you still are guaranteed rewards for losing and when you do win, you win 2 or 3 items instead of just 1. So a win begins to count as two wins, three wins, etc. And even when you lose, you still get rewards.

Additionally, I created those ranges where two Tiers overlap. So say you're at 1700-1900, you'll face either Tier 3 or Tier 4 Opponents. If you lose a couple of games, your rating will drop and keep you in that range so you can keep facing some Tier 3 Opponents.

I guess what I'm trying to say, is that even if you lose, you're still "progressing" towards your goal. You still received a reward and your rating will drop making it easier, in the long run, to win more games by facing easier opponents. If that makes sense?

That said, this system was created before the Guardian Angel Griffi was added and I don't have a great solution in mind atm. The best solution that I can think of right now is to allow the player to choose which AI Tier they want to play against up the Tiers that they've unlocked. The consequence to this would be that you would gain no rating if you win against an AI Opponent on a lower Tier that you've unlocked - you'd just win the rewards.

However, this would require a bit of time to code in, so I'll have to think about it a little more to make sure that's the route I want to go.

Please tell me there's a higher chance of winning this griffi at higher rank because I dont think I can win much anymore against AI xD

The odds don't change, but the frequency of 'chances' does. So if you're getting 2 or 3 rewards per win, you're increasing your odds by 200 or 300 percent because you're getting that many more rewards.

But no, the odds per each individual reward do not change.

So does this mean, you can only win a griffi be "winning" the match? Or is it possible to get a griffi thru the consolation prize if you lose?

Oooh! I would love the option to choose AI Tier just for a better chance to win the griffi egg!

I fully support this route :D

those grff are amazing truely.
I do not think the game is using gems to play the player vrs player
I have only noticed them going away when versed with AI

Also. A suggestion, perhaps if waiting in the queue for another player challenge. Perhaps we could have a AI challenger after a time in sitting there. Say for every 5 minutes of waiting, a random AI challenger would just take the place of a human and give out the same rewards. I sat almost 20 minutes in queue nearly forgot i was there.

They should be going down. They are only deducted once your Match begins - at which point the UI for displaying Tokens disappears.

If your game then ticks over the :00 or :30 minute mark of an hour, which is very likely, you'll have regen'd that Token before your Match finishes.

For the suggestion, I wouldn't want to do that as I think that would be unfair for that system. When you sit in queue for that long, it's literally because nobody else is in the queue. =\

If that happens, I think it's best for the player to decide what to do... whether that's to wait it out for however long until the next player queues up for a Match or to cancel their search and play the AI instead.

Also, mechanically, I would have no way of implementing this unless I literally just had it trigger a ranked AI match as if you queued for that - but if that was the case, you could just cancel your search and queue manually.

At this time, it is only awarded for winning a match (Ranked AI or Ranked Player vs Player).
