you sort of recognize it, it's about 5 kilometres off of where you usually come in from.

it sounded like a soft snuffling as something was digging into the earth. Suddenly the digging stops and the sound of paws heading towards you starts up.

it was coming from straight ahead, from the woods and the thick underbrush.
