There are mixed opinions on creatures. No one knows exactly what changed but the government started rounding them up, called them dangerous a menace and a threat, strict laws were placed against them. Many people agreed deemed the creatures dangerous because a family member or another had been hurt or killed by them. However some protested said the creatures had lived here just as long, they were people too and deserved equal rights.
Who's side are you on?

There is more than one sign-up form as there is more than one place to start. The story changes from each perspective (obviously) so choose wisely!

Rules
1. Narrators word is law
2. Do not make up the environment around you, control other characters, disregard what has happened, etc. that's the narrator's job.
3. I retain the right to ban, kick or not accept anyone.
4. If you have not progressed in over 2 weeks you will be kicked.
5. Put detail into your form
6. You can die
7. put this line somewhere in your form
8. You must act like your personality
9. Actions must make sense and you cannot control NPC's so there isn't any "you see an orc drinking some fuzzy drink at one of the tables" "I can immediately tell he's nice and go over to say hi!"
10. Just because your character starts on one side or with one mindset does not mean that this cannot change over time, if you would like they can change their mind and switch sides (This must, however, make sense and not come up randomly and without reason)

11. This is a single-player game however if you would like to play with another player let me know and as long as you both agree I'll merge your game together.
12. You start either pro-creature, anti-creature, or neutral.
13. You can be related to one of the chairpeople however you cannot be direct children or siblings of them. You can also not be an actual Chairperson.

Basic Game Information
There are three sides to this war, those against creatures, those supporting creatures, and those that do not care and are caught in the crossfire.

The Government
The ones in charge and the ones making the decisions. It's run by a commune of 10 people or chairpeople. They are not elected but rather they are chosen depending on their lineage and who they are related too. They are all against creatures and doing their best to round them up and lock them away.

The Beast's Army
A group of people who are truly dedicated to freeing creatures, they are all either on the run or in hiding from the government who have been trying to eradicate them for years. They believe creatures should be free and have equal rights, however, they are sometimes violent activists and can be dangerous.

The People
No specific group just the daily citizens and creatures in the world. Many do not lean any certain side and are just trying to do what they can to survive. Some believe in the Beast's Arm's cause while some side with the government everyone has their own reason and story, but none of them take drastic actions and explicitly join or defy either group.

Creature Laws
These laws were put forth by the government against the creatures. Any and all creatures caught disobeying these laws is intentionally going against the government and is therefore guilty of treason, they are too be reported and brought in to the state police.

1. No creature may marry or be in any kind of relationship with a human.
2. No creature is allowed to approach a human first, if approached reply only as much as required, do not linger.
3 No creature may harm or directly insult a human even in self-defence.
4. No creature may touch or attempt to touch a human whether accidental or not.
5. No creatures may openly show affection for each other in public places.
6. No creatures can be in busy streets, places, or buildings if seen you have gone against the law and will be brought in.

Creatures
Creatures vary, they range from angels to nature spirits, however, all are humanoid yet not completely human. Some are not visibly creatures but rather possess magic or other inhuman qualities.Creatures cannot be made or transform into one from humans, they are born, it's genetic and biological (If you are unsure whether something counts as a creature or not just ask me and I'll let you know)

Locations

The Instituite
This is where all the creatures who have broken the laws are taken, it is a life sentence and can house thousands of residents at a time. Within it are different buildings branching off with sectors for 'classifications' of creatures, it is a maze and an overall ginormous place, under constant surveillance.

Capital State
The richest and most prestigious city where many of the Government officials and the like live.

The Lackluster Cities
What most 'middle class'' cities are known as. Areas that are relatively clean and respectable, most of the population lives here creatures are a rarity this far in.

The Slums
The most rundown and poor areas. Some creatures can be found housed here but there is still a majority of humans.

The Outlands
Where most creatures live, it's the untouched parts of nature and the untamed wilds, though technically still under Government control and ownership.

Creature Type Information
Depending on the creatures people meet as they play or the creatures they sign up as I'll update this with some basic info on that type of creature.

These files are from the Institutes Archives.

Angels
Defining Physical Characteristics
Feathered Wings, Halo (rare)

Abilities
Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Speed, Flight, Empathy Link, Blessings, Emotional Manipulation

Weaknesses
Freezing or Burning Temperatures, Being Caged, Retribution

Instituite Observations
They long to be in the sky, and some have tried to break the glass windows if they do this subdue them if they do this repeatedly tie their wings down if that does not help cut them off. Many get agitated or even start screaming/crying from seeing the sky through the Aviary, ignore them.

Historical Records
Angels (sometimes referred to as bird people or Aviators) Are humanoid creatures with wings and on rare occasions halos. They live for the skies and find no greater joy than flying through the clouds. They are powerful and can be deadly. However they are defensive creatures. Dealing with defending friends and allies. They deal with two positive emotions: confidence and joy

Anggitay
Defining Physical Characteristics
Horse lower-half, Human upper-half, horn (usually), Female

Abilities
Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Speed, Magic (Levitation, Projectiles, Healing), Enhanced senses, Natural connection

Weaknesses
Retribution, anything that would work against horses/humans

Instituite Observations
Affinity for nature and dexterious fighters do not under any conditions let them near sharp or blunt objects. If they act out give their tails a haircut, if they continue cut the mane, if they still do not back down remove horns/use retribution.

Historical Records
They are the female counterparts to the centaurs, most of them can only do simple magic with their horns but there is the rare one that is extremely powerful. They have an affinity for nature and fighting. With immense strength and power they are a force to be reckoned with. Long mane and tails are a sign of power and status in their culture. If one is bested the winner gets to cut their tail and they must grow it out once more. Those who have been dishonourable or broken a pact must cut their manes and live in shame. Anggitay are almost always the leaders in centaur culture. A centaur leader is rare.

Devils/Demons
Defining Physical Characteristics
Horns, Leathery Wings, Tails

Abilities
Enhanced Strength, Enhanced Speed, Flight, Fire Resistant, Night-Vision, Emotional Manipulation, Curses

Weaknesses
Cold Temperatures, Silver Chains, Retribution

Insituite Observations: If they are too difficult the first step is to cut off their horns. If still resisting bind tail around left leg, if this does not help chain down wings. Last resort is to completely remove their wings.

Historical Records
Much like the angels they live for the skies but are much harder to chain down (some myths say this is because they already bear such weight and chains from their ancestors past) They differ to the angels in the sense that they destroy rather than protect. Casting terrible curses upon people they deal with two negative emotions: Fear and Misery.

Elementals
Defining Physical Characteristics
eyes reflect element.

Abilities
The full list of elementals and corresponding powers/ eye look:
Fire - ability to summon, control, and extinguish fire. They are also impervious to smoke inhalation and the issues that come with it, immune to extreme heat.
Water - ability to summon and control water(does not include natural body fluids). Can breathe underwater and seem impervious to the cold.
Air - Can control and summon the wind and air around them, often used to allow flight. They are extra strong and balanced, impervious to the cold.
Earth - Can summon and control plants, no allergies. ever.
Death/Life - They can tell when people are close to death or carry more than one life with them, can control the dead but can't summon them out of thin air, impervious to the cold and the heat.

Weaknesses
being away from their element, Retribution

Institute Notes
They can survive longer than most. Most effective form of punishment is keeping them isolated from their element, if not possible use retribution.

Historical Records
different elementals have been known to team up to create new elements (so water and air can work together to create ice/snow, or Death/Life and Fire can create flaming zombies). They are diverse in personality and power ranges. A Life/Death Elemental known as J was reported to be able to kill people simply by wishing it. While another went undetected for seventy decades as a simple midwife.

Mages
Defining Physical Characteristics: None
Abilities: Magic (varies depending on the power of mage, see library for list of notable mages)
Weaknesses: Retribution, crushed Milkweed Flowers (weakens magic for 3h)
Other: Most basic spells are shield, projectile, and heal, depending on the power of the mage these are barely effective or dangerously effective. Watch out, hard to subdue. Do not fear using retribution

Mermaids
Defining Physical Characteristics: Fishtails, human upper body
Abilities: underwater breathing (all), extreme heat resistance (Deap sea, Lava), pressure resistance (Deap sea), echolocation (deap sea, swamp),
Weaknesses: land, slight blindness (deap sea, swamp)
Other: Playful, can't resist a game or two, there are four subspecies, deep sea, freshwater, lava, and swamp water. Each one are set for different conditions and have distinct looks.

Shifters
Defining Physical Characteristics: They vary, tend to be human-like, some have fur/tails/ears/etc.
Abilities: Animal forms (1-50 different forms), Enhanced Hearing, Enhanced Smell, Enhanced Sight
Weaknesses: Retribution, Dandelion Root Tea (disables shifting ability for 3h)
Other: Each one has to be dealt with differently, depending on the animal(s) they can change into. If unsure how to deal with one simply look at their personal dossier for instructions. Most effective is retribution when in doubt.

Vila (Veela)
Defining Physical Characteristics: glistening skin, flawless flowing blonde hair
Abilities: always graceful and sure-footed, charm singing, warrior form, poisonus fangs (except for their soulmate)
Weaknesses: Retribution, the idea of hurting their soulmate
Other: extremely beautiful but dangerous, the earth is said to shake when they do battle. Every Veela has a soulmate, someone who they were made for, they would do anything for their soulmate and are extremely protective of them once they find them. They physically cannot hurt their soulmates though, and if they think they have go into a rage. rages are dangerous. If one occurs contain the veela in their cell until they calm down. In warrior form they grow wings, and talons along with fangs and bird like glowing blue eyes.

Narie | 19 | Shifter/Elemental | Pro-Creature |

Personality
There's a lot to say about Narie, but at the very least you'll find out she's optimistic and cheerful. Of course she's also clever, focused and balanced, but in a way they're lesser traits and trained by behaviors of being irrational as well.
Her optimism though, this is what she's kind of cherished for.

Nobody's perfect of course and Narie has less pleasant traits too. Her prejudices and argumentativeness can cause things to heat up even at the best of times.
Fortunately her cheerfulness helps prevent most of these grievances.

Backstory
Narie was born by a creature in hiding, her mother scared to be caught once again. Her mother died shortly after her birth. Officers found her mothers dead body with a small moving lump of fur next to her. They took her back to the institution in fear she might not die out there.

Fears
Staying alone forever, her future.

Other
Narie can shift into a fox like creature (Same tail and colors). She's also very short at 5"2
