Hmm. Shy and nervous is also a good combo, lol. I could see him being shy from just getting here, right?
Write for awkward = ?

I guess I want to ask, do you want to rework this character because you feel like you can only have one nervous character, or because you just aren't feeling it with how he currently is?

It's perfectly fine to have multiple nervous characters! After all, even in real life, nervous people can be very different from each other - so you can definitely have two nervous characters who are both different and interesting in their own ways.

But if he doesn't feel right, if he doesn't click and you're not really feeling it, totally cool to try something else. I guess my advice is, what specific things would he have to adjust to? How was his old school in terms of culture, of people, of attitudes, of opportunities, and how is the new school? How are they different? What kind of things would trip him up the most?

Maybe at the old school, he was a member of the orchestra, and a lot of his close friendships came from it. And at this new school, there's no orchestra, and no one gets what he's going on about when he jokes about air bowing.

Maybe the old school had a lot of magic users, and the new school doesn't have many magic users and people are afraid of him.

Maybe the old school was kinda small and quiet and everyone kept to themselves, and the new school is big and loud and everyone wants to get to know you for some reason!

These are all just examples, don't feel obligated to use them. I don't know what your setting looks like. But I hope this helps!

(Lol I saw orchestra and was like "wait Larkie is that you" and hen realized "oh wait" xP)

Basiclaly Innocencio (and siblings but the sibs were somehow already figured out) are coming out of the foster system and due to reason Innocencio ends up going to the local academy, which used to b just for rich kids but now is tryign to be more open due to needing more students and all.

If hes nervous and shy, hes basiclaly parraleing another one off ky characters minus he fact the other guy is an artist and has been loving the semi hib life for a while now

(Why one Arthur did I make his name Innocencio lol that's like a one way ticket to bullying)

There's a lot of interesting possibilities here! How do the students of the school feel about the academy opening up? Are they resentful towards the kids who are coming in? Do they have any prejudices? How do they lash out, if they do - are they passive-aggressive about it, or more overt?

And the students aren't the only part of it. Is the school itself genuinely interested in having a greater diversity of students, or are they begrudging about it? Do they try to support new students in their transition, or do they throw them to the sharks? Are the majority of teachers sympathetic, or do the majority of them look down on the newcomers?

And how does this affect Innocencio? What sort of lessons did he learn from foster care - were his foster parents generally kind, or were they callous, or indifferent? Does he believe he has a right to be at the school even if he's afraid of the other students, or does he feel like a massive fluke? How does he handle the behaviors of the other students? Does he try to ingratiate himself to the establishment, or does he find solace outside of the school as much as he can?

(Alternatively: what kind of story are you interested in exploring in this setting? Do you want a story about a fish out of water who finds his place in the world, or someone who overturns the system... or maybe both?)

You can learn a great deal about a character by looking at their setting! We're all products of the places that we grew up in, and they're no different.

Most of my figured out OCs are I the "we dont mind, welcome to the circus" kidn of people (seeing as the guy who all but runs the STEM club isnt supposed to exist and quite a few of the others come from unstable backgrounds, though the majority still has a good deal of moeny). Schools on both ends but mostly opening it up more (thoguh not to the point where they become a normal private school, they have standards and dont want flunkers)

As for Inkocencio I have no idea tbh XD
Like I do know his younger sister is dead and his younger brother is a literal tornado (I had a backgorund on why the girl is dead but i lsot it to time) and i know that in my fantasy version Innocencio is attired to fire but that's it

If you don't mind me pinging~

I got a Toyhou.se account!

(mainly thanks to CloudedOtter but okay)

I go by the name Eukaryaean there.

Here's my profile!

Yeet

Also, would it be cool with ya'll if we did a "create a character" sort of thing?

Y'know, one person determines factor 1, another determines factor 2, bla bla bla.

Nice! They invited me as well, I should probably do something about mine, lol. I'm trash with CSS but I'm too stubborn to use someone else's, I'm redoing my entire universe, and I need art ahhh.
... Hence the blankness!
That sounds fun, a character creation competition might also be fun. (Might be difficult to divide up, though?)

Yo, I'm guessing I should use the advice pinglist for this?
Anyways, uh, does anyone know of any nice worldbuilding organization sites, or tips or something?
I do have an (empty) notebook.ai account, there's not much I can do on it, though. I'm just getting a ton of random ideas for side aspects of the universe, and I'd like to put them somewhere while I, you know, actually work out the main part. And those side parts have way more details than they need, so I just think it would be neat if I had somewhere to, I dunno, dump it? I'm thinking of making myself a fandom wiki or something xD but I'm not sure if there's a better option since my Google Drive has like ten nested folders and it's painful.

I'd recommend using a wikia type site, yeah
Personally I have a personal Discord server and a notepad app on my phone with all my writing stuff so that's more organized than mine is. XD

Ooh, a Discord server actually sounds cool, except my phone does not do well with Discord, eek.
