"Whatwas that, Callen?" his father asked, starting to look a tad nervous.

"Nothing." Callen didn't really want to menton the advisors' grandson with the foul mouth in public though eveyroe at home knew about him.

Sera huffed.

Her mother sighed and called a maid. " Dry off Sera and give her a new dress. And shoes. " She said. The maid nodded, leading Seraphina away to a different room.

Callen was made to sit next ot his parents...awkwardly.

A couple minutes late Seraphina returned in a red dress and sat down next to her parents, glaring at the floor.

"Now, the two of you need to work things out." Callen's father said.

Callen started drumming his fingers, staring at a point on the table in between the two families.

" Yes, you do. " Her father said.

Sera stubbornly didn't say a word.

"And this will benefit both our countreis." Callens father continued. "And we have other plans for Caleb, young man. You are going to rule, your brother.....will be doing something else."

"Probably bossing me around." Callen said.

" Exactly. Seraphina, you need to understand that this is good for both our countries. Thats what it means to be a queen. You protect your country at all costs, even if it means marrying someone you don't like. " Her mother said.

Sera didn't say anything. She knew what her mother was saying was true, but she didn't want to think of it that way.

"And what if theres a better candidate available" callena asked.

"Callen, your brother may be a good candidate for king but he is much too young." His father said.
