The male had dropped down from above, making it so he was at the front of the group. A knife was in his hand and he had turned his head to look at the group. A deadly look was in his eyes, it was clear as day. He had quickly stood up, turning so he could face the group.
He seemed to be scanning the group over. Trying to get a better look at them all. It was surprising, he wasn't going after any of them at the moment. He was possibly just toying with them for now, maybe he liked messing with his prey.
(This is where everybody splits up and he picks them off one by one.)

Beverly slowly backs up, scared of the seemingly insane man with a knife. She looked at all her friends and knew not all of them would get out alive so she decided she would try. She took off towards the broken escalator and ran up the stairs.

"Beverly!" yelled Valerio, racing after her. She was going absolutely the wrong direction, in this maze of things she was going to get lost and even though she'd abandoned them he wasn't going to let her die.

She paused and waited for him before continuing. Was she a good runner? Absolutely not and she was already breathing hard. "I dont wanna die Val!" She said as she ducked into a closed shop that didnt have to protective grate completely closed

He had watched the girl run, anger swelling inside of him. He had of course wanted to chase her, yet she would have to come back down unless she wanted to jump out a window and land on the concrete, possibly breaking her legs. She wouldn't be able to hide forever anyways.
Yet sadly a male had ran after her. He could probably convince her to jump out a window. Oh this group was on his nerves already. He had one dead but two were still with him. He couldn't even bother with the ridiculous comment the injured one made.
He would stay with the group on the main floor though and just have hope that they didn't jump out a window. If they did he would also hope they broke their legs or hit their head. It was all hoping with those two at this point.
(Can't believe Bev just ditched like that. What a jerk move.)

He slid in with her, slamming the grate closed with a grunt, looking for something to barricade it. He spotted a back door behind some boxes and weighed his options, whether to barricade that as well or leave it open to escape if they needed it. "You're not going to die," he muttered as he fished out Hailey's phone and attempted to contact 911 again without success.
