There's at least five of them, all different species I think, and they have weapons, and money. You've just collapsed into our town last night. Unless you have allies, I wouldn't suggest attacking them head-on."
What else can I do then? Ylsonaa was standing right next to the door now, her hand resting on the handle.

You could find help to deal with the bandits, but we've sent people out before for that, and there's no sympathy. Without hesitation, Ylsonaa opened the door and stepped aside to let Harren through first. Where is the back way out? She asked. Ill convince them somehow. Even if I can just find two or three elves willing to fight.Are these elves Stone Elves by any chance?

F) Use the stick to drag the Tears toward me. (I'm suspicious of that hole. The Tears could be bait for a trap.)

(Ahhh. Might I say, you are perhaps the most creative player I have had in my several Choose-Your-Own-Adventure campaigns :).)
With a little bit of difficulty, as the stick wouldn't grasp the Tears, you were able to drag all four towards you. No traps were triggered, and the blood-red gems glittered before you.
