I love the design update, but as others have said, the wings seem to cover a good portion of the body. I think this could be fixed by adjusting the poses to allow the wings to be raised away from the body. For the males, I'm thinking of more of a "c" shape with the wings partially bent like they are extended towards the viewer and females in more of a "J" shape with the wings behind.

After looking at the new art style for them, the hatchlings look like that of a My Little Pony character and now I'm singing the "Sea Ponies" song <.=.> =P

I really super duper love them! The only thing is I miss when the one used to stand up on its hide legs. Just thought that was a really fun pose... but now... they are just stunning!
The other thing is, the babies (mostly female) look like MLP.

Hm, I think I like the older kelps better :o These ones look more pony-ish and resemble the Qitari a lot. I guess they look less... strong, and more toony. I think the giant wing-like fin is a bit too large but oh well, just not my cup of tea. :o)

So much cuter than before.
Love the hooves instead of the creepy webbed handclaws. Best improvement, in my humble opinion.
As for the hatchling faces... I don't necessarily agree that they look "too human", but I do think they look really similar to the My Little Pony style.
Overall, super great work. I actually found myself thinking I could collect something besides Sylvorpas for...the first time. >.<
