So...probably a couple questions that have been answered somewhere but I don't always have the time to hunt everything down so if anyone doesn't mind answering...

1) Is there anyway, other than on certain quests, to gain city badges?
               &
2) Are there any reoccurring quests? If so when are they available?

@Lunesca,

1. You can earn City Badges from Dynamic Events in that Region.

2. There are Daily Quests for the Umbra Forest Region. Each Zone has its own quest that is unlocked after completing the Zone's Storyline.

In the future, Viridian Meadows will be revamped to have an Armory, Daily Quests, and Badges as well. But for now, only Umbra Forest has those things.

So.. I have a bit of a question on quests, sort of. Is there a way to turn them off? Like the main quest.

Lately, I've really been wanting to go out and try to capture some new sylesti, but every time I've been swarmed by undead, bandits, or other creature things that tend to obliterate my team in a few rounds, no matter what I do, even using higher level sylesti that I've bought just so my team doesn't die so fast. It's gotten really frustrating that I can't do that, or opt out of following the actual story line for a bit (I'm sort of more interested in breeding sylesti than fighting with them) so... I wasn't sure if that was something that was an idea for the future or not. If there IS a way to skirt around quest/storyline related battles, huzzah, but if not... uh.. I'm not sure what I'm going to do on that. Probably just stick to buying and breeding them instead.

@Artistnotfound,

The storyline is not optional for multiple reasons. The main reason is that it's used as progression and to reward playing. Completing certain parts will unlock certain features and reward those users for their hard earned progression.

However, the storyline is not meant to be that challenging - that's what the Dungeons (and soon to be Arena) are for.

You have a lot of pets, so I'm not sure which you're using in your party.

But there are lots of threads on how to improve your battling prowess.

A few basics are obtaining better gear (one of the most important). This can be done via the Nightfall Bandit Dungeon, Trade Broker, Missions, or bargaining with other players.

For those struggling to battle, I always advise to build a strong tank (stack as much Health on it as you can). Health is the most valuable stat early in the game. Make sure to stick this tank in your first party slot.

With your main tank, I would focus the other 2 pets in your party on dealing damage or support, but give them a little health as well.

An important factor to remember is that Mend is percentage base. The more health a pet has, the more Mend will heal for.

I hope this helps. If you still need more help, I'm sure there are tons of players willing to help. You can always pop in the General Chat and ask for more assistance.

Pet Aging and Maturity
Maturity is measured in hours and comes in four categories: Eggling, Hatchling, Adolescent, and Adult.

It takes roughly 72 hours (3 Days) for a newborn Eggling to become a Hatchling.
It takes roughly 144 hours (6 Days) for a Hatchling to become an Adolescent.
It takes 18 Days for an Adolescent to become an Adult.

Got a little question about that^^
Since i am new and still trying to figure everything out^^

My first hatched pet,so my first hatchling is 6 days old now..
http://www.sylestia.com/view/pets/?petid=95343 Its still an hatchling...
But i found it while exploring the world 6 days ago..Shouldnt it be an adolescent by now?

Once it is an adolescent..Will it join my stable by itself or do i have to put it there?(and if i need to do that manually..how?)

Also i would like to know how much eggs and hatchlings i can own?
If the hatchery is full..did i reach the limit then? Since there is shown a little black number (1) on the right upper corner..and i am not sure if i can have more than 25?

@Chunhei,

Age != Maturity.

Age is defined as the time since the pet was created. So if you catch an Adult pet in the wild and instantly view it's profile, it's age will be seconds, not 18 days.

There is currently no way to view a pet's maturity other than its image URL (and then only if it's tested or generated).

-------------------

When pets become Adults, they are automatically moved to your Stables. If your Stables are full, they are released.

Once a pet in your Hatchery becomes an Adolescent, you can manually move them to your Stables.

-------------------

There is no limit to the Hatchery. You can have an infinite amount.

i am sorry about that,english isnt my mother language^^..
So even with help of a translator i sometimes need to ask more than once for understanding it all...^^'

The Fox i talked before was found while exploring.
So it counts from that very second,right? It says 6 days..
And it really needs 6 days to adolescent,right?
From eggling to Adult it needs from the second i get the egg into my hatchery onwards 22 days,right?

And the bunny i found already as hatchling...when can i see if its adolescent then?
Will there a special button appear in the pets profile that allows me to put it in my stable?^^

thanks for answering my questions,even if i ask twice..

edit: oh and is there a way to check out the breeding outcome between a pet of mine,and a pet of someone else?
if i search for a breeding partner for my pet,can i see somewhere what the possible outcome can be?..

@Chunhei,

It depends on how old the pet was when you captured it. Every pet you see in the wild are of different ages. But once a pet becomes a Hatchling, it will be 6 days until an Adolescent, then 18 days until an Adult.

And yes, there will be a button available on the profile page to move the pets to the Stable once they are an Adolescent.

And for breeding, go to Account -> Generator and then click on Breeding Grounds.
