You stand there for a few minutes, then it begins to move up again. You notice the ground shook slightly when it began to move.

You step onto the tree branch just outside. All along the branches where the creature stepped, the leaves have shriveled and withered, some dangling off the tree but not falling to the ground.

"Umm..." I glance at the nest. "Okay, guidebook, I'm going to close you and get a half-mile away from the nest so an Avia gets in it, but as soon as I'm far enough away, I'm going to open you, and we're going to talk about... whatever the heck is going on." I snap the guidebook shut and walk brrrrriskly into the forest, away from the Avia nest.

-Big thingy that moves up/down
-Neither Sunstream nor guidebook knows what it is

I wait for it to move back down, then I quickly step onto the patch of grass where is was. "Do you think this is a good idea, or do you think I'm going to kill myself?" I ask Sunstream.

You misjudge your height and fall over when you hit the ground. You aren't hurt, but you notice that your hand is sinking into the ground.
