Irene looked about the barely modern-age city with a bit of displeasure written across her face. It honestly looked as if the place was decaying with every passing second. She couldn't tell if it was just her imagination, but the place reeked of some dark force.

Katia didn't seem to be much more pleased by any of this, her previous excited expression replaced by one of disappointment and purposeful sternness. This was it?

Somehow she felt herself less thrilled by this tripped than she ever planned to be. It was like walking into a graveyard at night.
She liked spooky things, but this was almost too much.

"So, how long so you think it be before half the city comes out waving swords and stuff?" Kari asked Nicote, who glared back before teleporting off-presumably to make sure no one started firing arrows or something.

"Can you not say stuff like that? Because every time you do that exact thing happens...." meinke shivered.
