Hoping to high heaven he wasn't gonna get his own head off for this, he uh....
(ARGH I just thought of it and now i can't remember :P Does punching a guard and kidnapping uh running off with a prodigy work?)

The guard isn't expecting it and you and the girl are lost in the crowd before anyone notices. Well, you hope. The uniformed man notices that the girl is gone and the guard is looking bewildered, then screams, "Find the girl!"
The guards hurriedly jump into the crowd, looking for you.
Well, if they don't find you, looks like they'll lose their heads instead.

He moves with the crowd and the moment he can, ducks into an alley.

here are some infection preventing herbs growing in the shade and a tiny stream nearby, not as many resources as you would like but it will have to do.
Griffins usually travel in flerds of three or four.
(I have zero survival skills and no idea what herbs do what)
(I mean this is your world, you can make up any herbs xD)
Nervous of his flerd showing up i'll gather them quickly and get to work

It seems to be around dawn when you wake up, the sunlight initially hurting your eyes. There are a few fluffy clouds on the horizon but for now, it's a nice day, birds chirping from somewhere in the trees and the occasional rustle here and there.
There's currently no one in sight. Well, other than yourself.
