You leave the town and head towards the meadow. You wander the meadow for a while, but to your disappointment, you don't find anything overly interesting.

Having wandered for a while, I'm tired and decide to sit down for a little bit, while I think about where to go next.

It's another hour or so until you get to the town. As you open the door to the tack shop, you hear a loud bang followed by a surprised shout. You enter the shop to see an older man struggling to pick up a slew of fallen grooming supplies.

((Sorry, thought I replied!))

I rush over to the man to help him, bending down to grab the supplies, "Are you alright sir? I'll help you out with these."

(In the future, could you describe which strategy you use for stuff and be more specific? Like instead of "making sure nothing got wet", say how your character keeps their stuff out of the water.)

As you wade through the river, you hold your backpack above the water to avoid ruining your items. The water is cold, but you continue on your way until you approach a hill. At this point you are tired again and famished, but you think you can hear a whinny from the other side of the hill.

In the tackroom you find posts attached horizontally to one wall to hold saddles, and hooks on another for bridles. There are an assortment of empty boxes as well - you figure you could put spare supplies in them. The stalls are made of whatever type of wood the workers could get their hands on. Despite the mishmash of wood, the stalls seem sturdy and well made. The pastures have a couple of smaller weeds, but are otherwise grassy and free of any poisonous plants.

You sit down in the grass, thinking of the map you saw back in town. You remember that there is a river nearby that branched off of a lake in the forest.

With your help, the supplies are put back in their place without any more struggle. "Thank you," The man says with an accent you can't quite place. "I'm Stan, welcome to my tack shop. Have you come to buy my homemade horse treats, perhaps?"

The sandwich hits the spot, filling you up with the energy you need to run to the top of the hill. On the other side, you find a small herd of about 10 horses just far away enough so that they don't notice you.

"Nice to meet you Stan, I'm Arissa. Those treats sound quite tempting, I may have to buy a few at least. I'm looking for some tackle, I'll be heading off soon in search of those spectacular horses I've heard so much about and I was hoping you could help me with that?" I smile as I glance around the shop, quite liking the place.

Realizing I'm rather thirsty, I decide to head to the river.
