Mysty & pups

Mysty took a step back to avoid the flying debris. Cocking her head to the side she studied the drenched male, flicking her ears this way and that as she too listened to her surroundings. "...Rhodry..." She didn't want to admit it but his name sounded pleasant to her ears. Smiling she tried to hide it by looking back at the pups, they were still close by. Watching their alpha talk to the stranger wolf, curious or otherwise. Honestly she didn't know how to act. The only wolves she had interacted with before had been her family, so she was at a loss for word, but she was an alpha and had to look like she knew what she was doing. "So... You said your just passing through, do you have a specific destination in mind?" Confusion swirled in her at the question, why had she said that, why had she cared enough to ask about specifics? Was she lonely, did she desire more pack besides the pups,yes... Was that what she was doing, in a offhand way prying to see if he was a possible packmate material... if she was then it was purely for the pups sake, right?... Mysty Sat down and began cleaning the pups, they still had some of their last meal hanging around the muzzled. However, she did look up at the male only to be respectful she told herself.

He looked ar her and stood up after a while before stretching his limbs. "I dont have a specific goal in mind. Just a place to settle down on. However most places around here seems to be taken"he replied honestly. As he was finished stretching his body he stod normally and drank a bit more water. A wild rabit apearing above the small hill Myst had come from quickly turned and run. He reacted by pure instinkt and rushed after the small animal. As he reached the tp of the small hill he saw the rabit rush into its den. curiously he trotted to the hole and sniffed it. The smell is almost overwhelming of rabit so its clearly used alot, or by many. Giving up a exited sound he started to dig to reach in to the rabits den. If it was desperation or a diversion he didnt know but as he stoped a second and looked around a rabit ran away. Quickly rushing after the animal he snatched it after about 20meters. Breathing somewhat heavly he carried the rabit back to the creek there he layed down to eat a few meters from there he had fell into the water. Sniffing the rabit he wagged his tail while licking it before he begun to eat. He prefer to eat near water, he can then hide his dinner in water wich hides the sent. He looked at Myst and the pups, if it was guilt or a bit of home sickness he couldnt tell but he stod up, leaving the opend rabit alone and laied down abit further away, leaving his catch to the female and the pups. He had pretty much just opend the rabit, not taking a single bite from it. While laying down on the ground he licked around his muzzle before cleaning his fur.

Mysty felt herself take a step back,stunned. Looking at Rhodry she wondered at the meaning behind the offered rabbit. He may just want to thank her for allowing him to stay instead of chasing him off. Always hungry the pups ran to it and dug in, Mysty more slowly followed their example, taking just a few bites. Lifting her head the alpha nodded her thanks as her lips curled up at the corners. "Thank you, you could have had it...We have plenty of prey, and you seem a nice enough wolf." Barking Terrin walked over to her then passed by her with a brief glance. The alpha looked at the pup with a bit of confusion as to what he was doing. The reserved pup walked right up to the large male, then sat before him as if getting ready for a long talk. Both females were surprised by the act and remained quiet to see what he would do. Terrin being still a pup and not having much experience with males or adult interactions of any kind had come to a conclusion upon Rhodry offering the rabbit. "So you offer my alpha a gift, that means you want to be her mate?" Terrin had such a serious expression that it took Mysty a moment to realize his words. If she had still been chewing on the rabbit she would have surely choked, as it was her mouth was agape with shock. How could a rabbit seriously mean that, she needed to have a talk with the pup! Her pale eyes darted to Rhodry' s face to see his reaction, she gave an involuntary gulp...

Blackclaw wondered around, looking for food. He was hungry and he wanted to catch a rabbit, he walked passed the trees. He found a spot where there was a rabbit hole, he crouched down in the snow, waiting for it to come out.

Song listened to the answering howls of her pack mates. So far everything seemed quiet. She looked sonw at Titus. "Now young one can you tell me why it is important to keep in contact with the pack?"

Blackclaw saw the rabbit come out of the hole, he rushed towards it, with one leap, he was on top of it. It tried to get away but he bit it's neck and sat down next to a tree and ate it. He finally got up and started walking to the frozen lake, seeing that the water was frozen. Thirst was in his mind now. Blackclaw used his claw to cut into the deep ice, but it didn't work too well.

"There has to be some way to get some water." He thought.

Blackclaw heard a crack from a branch. He turned around to see three wolves near the area. He growled at them.

"Oh what is he doing here?" The first wolf asked.

"He's alone. Winterpack pup, that's what he is!" The second one answered.

"Ha, he thinks he's tough!" The third one growled.

"Stay back! I will attack you all!" Blackclaw growled. The battle was about to begin for him. Blackclaw knew that his rank wasn't the highest, but he still can fight off his enemies from the training that he was given.

He looked at them as they begun to eat, while still laying on his side his tail begun to move again. It looks so familiar. Pups throwing themselves over anything they can eat. As Myst talked to him he noded to verify that he had heard and understood her. As the young male walked towards him he only looked at the pup, not moving knowing that the female could werry well take it as he would like to kill the pup. He looked abit confused on the pup. Brave indeed o aproach a male they just meet like that. ANd to sit infront of him. If it had been any other male the pup surley would have been attacked by now.

As the young pup talked he begun to laugh. Mate? He had no such thoughts right now Sure he might wish to find one but honestly what does he know about Myst? Nothing! "You are a brave pup il give you that but yu have missunderstood something. You see as I left my pack my siblings were just about your age.I remember how hard it was for my parents and the pack to keep the pups feed. Sure in time id like a mate and pack, however so far I only really know your alfas name. That is not enoug basis to form a pack with her or have her as my mate. You should only make someone their mate if you cant imagine living without that wolf"he said in a serious voice. It was probably the most grownup moment he had been having for a week or so. Untill now he had just been goofing around really, hunting, meeting others, sleeping, drinking .... just living life day by day.

WHile he could still be sick of beeing alone he alsoe had the brains to know the diference between joy of seeing others and the desire to mate. He had no dificulty seperating those two from each other. However he alsoe knew this could be a bit hard for a pup to take in and understand, so he prepared him self for the fact that the pups may ask about 200questions.

Mysty let out a huge sigh, Rhodry had taken that we'll. The alpha turned her head to the pup and fave a short bark to return to her. Looking back Terrin gave her a puzzled look as if he didn't know the several things he had just done wrong...Okay she would need to have a very long talk with the pup. Looking at Rhodry Mysty gave him a small grin in appreciation for handling the situation well. Terrin slowly walked back to her as he shuffled through the large male's words.
Making herself known Tia moved to just behind her alphas right shoulder and glared at the large male. Still unsure as to most things the pups did she just softly hit the pup with her long fluffy tail, which got the desired effect. Tia stopped glaring to turn her amber gaze to her alpha, the promptly gave a huge yawn. Mysty remembering this was the first time the pups had left the den knew it was time to get them back. Just as Terrin reached her she began to stand, but what was she going to do about Rhodry? Just leave and pretend he isn't here, offer to hunt with him soon so she could keep tabs or even ask if he wanted to come with them so she could keep a even closer eye on him? She wondered briefly what her father would do then stopped in her tracks. Yes, her father would have chased him off on a good day and killed him on a bad on...

He looked at them and as the young brave pup was halfway back to his adopted mother he sat up and started to scratch behind his right ear as it itched a bit. He could clearly feel the looks he was given but choose to mainly ignor them. "If you dont mind, id like to stay around here a few days reting, I havnt been able to do so since I left my pack. He looked over towards the female if permitted he would stay as requested, close by the creek and that way she would know were he was, if she decided to take the pups elsewere. (sorry for short asnwer)

Mysty&pups

Mysty gave a slow nod of her head and then began walking away. She told herself she would check on him soon. With the non-threatening vibe he gave off she could trust him enough to stay in her territory for a few days. It wasn't like she had a large pack that needed every single foot of space or every rabbit on their home. With just the three of them they didn't take much up at all. Especially the pups being just two months old...


Hours later...

Mysty huffed, the pups had just fallen asleep. Tia had definitely faked that yawn for as soon as they entered the den the alpha was bombarded with questions. The first coming from Terrin, wanting to know what a mate was like. Which was the oddest question she had to answer, for she couldn't give one right answer. She had seen many different mated wolves, all acted similar yet not. She she tried speaking simply how two wolfs form a bond that is forever and when your apart you wish to be back with your mate, The that lead to her having to explain different types of bonds because the sweet little Terrin had freaked out saying he felt that way about her. She was just thankful his sister soon intervened with her own questions, which were so much easier to answer. Tia had the assumption packs were made up of only one female and pups, which had been the extent of her knowledge. The Long and lengthy explanation Tia had wanted took nearly an hour and then Terrin had come up with several more questions. All that asking had finally worn them out and they had fallen asleep curled around each other. Now the alpha was outside the den,staring at nothing in particular. Her mind far away into a future she wished so deeply for. A strong pack. A mate. Pups and to know she did her best for all she came to care for. A soft sigh passed through her lips as she daydreamed of Tia and Terrin grown up to be strong and brilliant wolves, and it was thanks to her dedication and caring heart. Her tail wagged at the thought, both would hunt and live just as normally as any other wolf, that was her hope. Now she just needed to find a pack for the pups, but how?...
