query: will we always have to go by individual stable to start with when searching for pets to breed?
Also on the search all pets (I'm assuming it will be more or less similar to AS as that was mentioned in the past) will ones we own show up there presuming one will be able to search the same way as AS by theme/trait?

I'm assuming since it hasn't been mentioned (and it's not part of the game atm) that being able to search pets by stats - especially the wild stats. Supermaxing is such a big part of breeding it would be nice to be able to navigate to publicly available pets for it a bit easier. (I hope that one day we get a philtre that will allow us to try and roll wild stats on some pets that don't normally have them)

A wild stats philter herm i would go for that if it was available but it could open a door to newbies who sell fertile pets to completely tank the max/super stat market

You will be able to also use the "Search All Pets" tab to find your own pets. That tab will offer you a wide array of parameters to search by, including statistics. You'll be able to include/exclude your own pets from the results.

Yeah I was thinking about that, and I would think that like it would have to be something like the lesser genetic mutator where when you used it, it changed the pet's status and you couldn't reroll (or would need an item to remove the status for a do over)? And the tier of wild stats granted should be subject to RNG so that really high level stats were still exciting to get.

That and/or an effect that would expire after so many breedings? (and could possibly be reactivated at whatever tier was rolled with like idk special wildling treats or something with a way better name XD) Mostly I just think it would be fun if it were possible to get them natively on more themes/extend their accessibility a bit.

Great things are coming im sure, the screencaps look promising. Love the save pairs feature.

I just need to talk about this one thing though.
I'm pretty sad that my pets are all greyed out now because i cannot afford to feed them all. It was one of my favorite things to do, browse my stables and check out all the pretties i've bought. I understood that they could not be bred or fight in a party.. but they were fun to look at.

Now they are all useless unless i pay something like 900,000 gold to feed all of them. and that is just one day out of many more to come.

I've used the stablehand in the past and the costs from that were pretty high too, i misunderstood the contract and it ended up costing me 100,000s of gold a day. The text in the contract doesnt help me understand how much gold i will be spending per day. So i abandoned those methods of keeping my hoard alive.

I guess i should just sell off parts of my collection to make it more affordable and less depressing. Turning off the color on my stables was like sucking the life outta this site for me. I manage to farm some gold in lost grove but i'm dreading the costs of things from here on out if i just want to see my pets in color even. Its just so unfair since ive worked hard to obtain the pets i have and invested so much time to buy stable slots and gems for new stables. forcing me to farm even more just for color is harsh.

Im going to have to think about this a while before i come back, im too upset.

Further To Meeku's comment I usually pay for the Farmhand Rosemary for 1 fortnight I believe its costs 1400g which is 100g per day to pay for her but I am unsure about the actualy daily cost to feed Pets. This could be very important for some Players who have much larger stables than myself. The pop up when you go to pay for the stable hand is a little unclear about the cost. There are multiple options in terms of time but if you opt for longer time periods it appears to be more costly in that you also have to pay a diamond fee as well as a gold fee. Hence why I normally only opt opt the fortnight.

I would like to be able to see how much the daily cost is for myself to feed the pets and also for how much it costs Rosemary ( I believe its cheaper if you use her and possibly have over 200 pets)


Another issue because of the feeding factor and unconscious pets is that when you go to breed with many pets you are unable to either because that person hasnt been on site for a long time or because the person is on site and chooses not to feed their pets.

Breeding pets is an important part of Sylestia why cant the pet become conscious if we pay the breeding fee even if the person isnt active on site or has their pet up for breeding and hasnt fed them. Im trying to get some 6 Vis pets with the genes I prefer and many times it is impossible because the pets are unconscious. One of the other issues is that many players dont put them up for breeding. I can understand why. But seriously its a team effort all around


I was unaware (Thanks Krin Faeyla) that you could feed those unconscious pets by paying the 100g and then breeding with them thats good to know.

I too was depressed to see the sea of grey pets. So, I decided to see exactly how expensive it was going to be to use Rosemary again. I had stopped because I never could make any extra gold, everything went to feeding. I'll post my costs so hopefully it can help others decide how to deal with the grey since there is no way to tell how much it's going to be before hand. Note, these prices are for the top end of Rosemary's discount.

Manually rezzing and feeding my pets would have cost over 900k to do. Rosemary did 6,805 pet for 133,422 gold. So, a little less than 20 gold per pet. This was the big chunk of gold. Another note, Rosemary won't rez/ feed your pets the day you hire her. For whatever reason, she will wait until the next day.

The next day she fed 6,731 pets for 13,462 gold (I had cleared out a bunch of release pets). So, 2 gold a pet.

If I send out my pets on missions, I can make this gold back. The real catch will be once the cost to breed pets is implemented. Since most of my gold from missions is going to be feeding my pets, I'm not going to have a lot of wiggle room to then pay to breed my own pets for projects. I will just have to wait and see how that pans out.

I agree that Rosemary should be upfront on what she is going to be charging every day for feeding as well as any initial costs on the first day to bring everyone back.

As for breeding with other people's unconscious pets, you currently can feed them for 100 gold and then breed with them.

this looks really nice.. it's a lot of things i've always wanted.

but prbly every breeding project i've ever done has included inactive member's pets. there are a LOT of inactive users, tons of rare animals will be lost. themes with nice traits. old themes. projects. tons of stuff gone. its already enough of a problem with inactive users who didn't put up their stuff for breeding.

i know i'm not a big breeder but this is a game breaking problem for me. i haven't played much since this was announced. people's cool pets are what make this game fun. there's a huge legacy here. i was hoping it'd be changed, that the in-profile option would be kept or things would get auto-relisted. how can we possibly find everything we might want or successfully breed it in time? we don't even know for sure who will relist their pets

and now everything's greyed out and a cooldown for males might be added too?

i'm sorry to be negative but the number of hours this game is demanding has amplified immensely. i can't keep up with this

I made some significant changes to the benefits from Stablehand Farm Maiden Rosemary as well as some changes to the mechanics of a pet being Malnourished. You can read the details here:

Long term, I have plans to completely overhaul the feeding/hunger mechanic for pets. However, these planned changes are still very far away. So this will hopefully be a good compromise for the time being until more robust changes can be made.
