Emberstep's body was in the middle of camp. She'd been stuck in the medicine den since the badger attack because of her horrible wounds, and still smelt of herbs and was covered in them. Even while being next to Frostpaw, she didn't survive the back, stomach and head wound.

She'd been cleaned up, but it was still clear her wounds hadn't healed properly. Petalwater sat before her, as well as Crimsonstar. As littlespark padded in camp, she sprinted over faster than you'd ever seen the fiery she cat and batted various warriors aside to see the body before lying down beside it, quivering.
