Maybe we could dress in our old uniforms for old times sakes! " He said excitedly, completely oblivious to any of what Kimani was thinking. He figured Kimani was just intrigued about war.. He always wished to have a child follow in his footsteps and fight in the war just as him and his father and those before him had. " He would so love to tell his stories.. He told me not too long ago he wished he could, as he fears he would be forgotten... Too bad he is in history books already. "

Kimani's eye sparkled once more and he nodded vigorously, but ended up giving a wince at how his eye scolded him with pain.
"I want to be like you and him one day. Brave and come back a hero..." He said with a happy smile, his hands shaking a little with excitement. "I would love for him to come! M-Meeting him and having you as a father is amazing!" His voice was now filled with excitement, and he noticed it after he said so. He gave a soft and sad smile, looking down at the ground. "I owe Wren a conversation like this. I-It's been hard for me to speak up after... After the orphanage."

William smiled with pride, and you could see it as he puffed up slightly. " I will invite him then! We shall prepare his favorite.. Speaking of which I need to get him to get out of his house by tempting him with cake.. I wouldn't ask, he just likes the stuff... more then he likes his own reflection. And that man likes his reflection. " He said with a laugh. He then smiled softly, " I understand.. orphanages aren't the best of places from my experience. It is why I took so many of you in.. that and.. and because of my own reasons. " He said, tightening his tie further. " I am glad you are getting better here.. speaking of which, do your bandages need changing? "

Elizabeth jumped back a little at the sound of a voice near to her, but calmed seeing as it was Lillian. " O-oh hi there Lillian.. " She said, still a little jumpy. " Nothin's wrong, I just need to.. I am too scared to go back inside. " She explained, giving a crooked smile. " He's in there an' I feel a lot safer out here is all. "

Kimani gave a happy smile. He enjoyed sweet things too, but hadn't much of a chance to eat them while he lived in those harsh conditions.
"I-I also I wanted to say thank you. For taking all of us in. You saved all of us in many ways." He added, still smiling. He put a hand to his eye, touching the bandages gingerly.
"I think they might need it, much to my dismay..." He laughed nervously. "I would hope a glass eye fixes how wretched it looks."

He nodded as he said they might need changing, and his expression softened as he said the last part about it. " It will scar a bit, but it will look much better.. What color do you want it by the way? I can have it done in most colors, or would you like an exact replica of your other eye? "
