rubbing his eyes softly as he thought he saw a dragon his attention was brought back to the cat now running away and kick starts his want to hunt. now running after the cat on all fours

For such a small thing, it's fast - and hard to see. Suddenly, it's gone. And guess what? Dragon. It looks scared and furious at the same time as it inhales - presumably to breathe fire. You stumble to a halt, whether out of shock, fear. . .who knows.
